Lost Nausicaan Outlaw

The Lost Nausicaan Outlaw is a Neutral Interceptor hostile that roams a wide band of neutral space from level 25 to 58. At the lower levels it drops Parsteel, and from level 40 up it drops 4-star Broken Interceptor Parts. It only spawns as an Interceptor, so bring an Explorer, match its warp requirement, and you can farm it steadily as you climb.

How to beat the Lost Nausicaan Outlaw

The Lost Nausicaan Outlaw only appears as an Interceptor, so you counter it with an Explorer. In the ship-class triangle, Explorers beat Interceptors, which means an Explorer takes reduced damage while dealing extra, and the fight is much shorter than it would be in a matched or losing hull. There is nothing to swap between levels here: one hull variant, one counter class the whole way up.

For the crew, put a captain in the chair who boosts weapon damage against hostiles, then fill the other seats with officers that add damage or mitigation. In the early levels the cadet crew still works well: Cadet Kirk as captain with Cadet Spock and Cadet Uhura beside him. As you climb, swap toward stronger hostile-hunting officers. Crews shift with the meta, so check the current picks on the officer tier list before you commit shards.

Where to find the Lost Nausicaan Outlaw

The Lost Nausicaan Outlaw clusters in neutral systems and spreads out as its level climbs. The low spawns from level 25 to 34 sit behind warp 25, while the top level 58 spawns push out to warp 200 in deep neutral space. Match the warp of the system you plan to hunt in before you set a course.

Rewards and what it drops

What the Lost Nausicaan Outlaw drops depends on its level. The lower band pays out Parsteel, and the higher levels switch to 4-star Broken Interceptor Parts. Ship XP also climbs steeply with level, so the deeper spawns are better for leveling the ship you fly against them.

Drop What it is
Parsteel A core base-building resource used across almost every building and ship. Dropped at levels 25 to 37.
4★ Broken Interceptor Parts A ship-part material used to build and upgrade 4-star Interceptor ships. Dropped at levels 40 to 58.

Lost Nausicaan Outlaw firing pattern

It carries two weapon groups. A single energy weapon fires every round for modest damage, while a pair of kinetic weapons fire every other round and hit much harder. Time your repairs or mitigation for the rounds the kinetic guns come online, since that is when the bulk of its damage lands.

Weapon type Count Damage per shot Fires Crit
Energy 1 2,520-3,080 Every round 10% (1.5x)
Kinetic 2 6,912-8,448 Every other round 10% (1.5x)

The Nausicaans in Star Trek

Nausicaans are a tall, physically imposing species best known across Star Trek as mercenaries, smugglers, and hired muscle. They have ridged faces and prominent tusks, and a long reputation for settling matters with violence. A young Jean-Luc Picard famously took a Nausicaan blade through the chest in a bar brawl, an injury that later cost him his natural heart. In Enterprise, Nausicaan raiders preyed on lightly defended freighters along poorly patrolled routes. That outlaw streak is what the Lost Nausicaan Outlaw channels in the game.

Is the Lost Nausicaan Outlaw worth grinding?

It is a solid farm if you need what it drops. The lower spawns are an easy source of Parsteel for base building, and the higher levels feed you 4-star Broken Interceptor Parts for building and upgrading Interceptor ships, plus steady ship XP. Bring an Explorer, match the warp of the system, and pick a level your ship can clear quickly for the best return.
