In an Instant… is a Romulan-side story mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you hold off attackers until the scientists are ready. It is recommended for level 27, starts at warp 1 and needs warp 22 to complete. There are two fights, a Starfleet ship at roughly 200,351 and a Klingon ship at roughly 198,251, spread across Alhazar, Sufiday and Biruin. The reward is 200 Romulan Credits and 8,000 Romulan Points, with Federation and Klingon reputation losses.
In an Instant… objectives
There are six objectives and no choice split:
- Intercept the Starfleet ships. Location: Alhazar.
- Defeat the Starfleet ship. Location: Alhazar. Enemy strength is roughly 200,351.
- Go to the Romulan blockade. Location: Sufiday.
- Defeat the Klingon ship. Location: Sufiday. Enemy strength is roughly 198,251.
- Bring Sekula to the supernova star. Location: Biruin.
- Retreat from the black hole. Location: Sufiday.
The mission opens with the Starfleet interception in Alhazar, the strongest fight of the two. You then join the Romulan blockade in Sufiday and beat a Klingon ship there. With both threats handled, you carry Sekula to the supernova star in Biruin and finish by pulling back to Sufiday, away from the black hole.
Where and what warp
The mission can be picked up at warp 1 but needs warp 22 to complete. The route crosses three systems, and you visit Sufiday twice, so it pays to plan the trip in one go.
The recommended level is 27. Both fights sit close to 200,000 power, which is the number to check your ship against before you start.

There is no resource or officer reward here; the payout is Romulan currency and reputation. The Federation and Klingon losses come with it, so check your faction reputation first if you are trying to stay neutral.

Both pay 8,000 Romulan Points and the same reputation losses. In an Instant… adds 20 Romulan Credits and two extra travel steps. If your ship cleared From Every Angle, it is ready for this one.
Tips
Start at full health. The Alhazar fight comes first and is the stronger of the two, and the Klingon ship in Sufiday follows soon after.
Stay on the route. After the Klingon ship, the remaining steps are travel only, so there is no more combat once Sufiday’s first visit is done.
