Ethical Concerns is a level 55 Klingon Science Group (KSG) mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where Ad’otha confronts K’ulass over his experiments on Species Qui’Tu and he takes you both on a tour of what the Klingon Empire has become. It starts at warp 1 and needs warp 285 to complete, with stops in Nalla, Erzon’Uk and Pterodasia and one fight objective of 14 hostiles. The reward is 72,900,000 Tritanium, 500 Klingon Recruit Tokens and Klingon reputation, and it unlocks What We Lost.
Ethical Concerns objectives
Ad’otha opens by asking whether K’ulass told you the Kos’Karii Engine needs a huge amount of organic input to work. Ad’otha then sends lab footage showing several dozen Qui’Tu held in captivity. K’ulass argues the creatures regenerate and are never killed; Ad’otha answers that they are tortured instead. He insists it is all for the advancement of the Klingon people and asks you both to follow him.

- Follow K’ulass to the second system. Location: Erzon’Uk.
- Defeat 14 hostiles of level 49 or higher.
- Return to KSG space. Location: Pterodasia.
In Nalla he describes an Empire bloated by war and heading toward extinction. Erzon’Uk makes his point: once a busy hub of Klingon activity, it was reduced to dust in the Borg invasion, and K’ulass blames the wars with the Federation and the Romulans for leaving the Klingons too distracted to defend it. Now only raiding parties pick through the rubble, and he asks you to help clear some of them.
Afterwards he calls these Klingons savages and says Project Qui’Tu must be finished no matter the cost. Ad’otha has heard enough and asks to go home. K’ulass leaves to prepare his samples for testing. There is no choice split.
Where and what warp
No pickup system is listed, and the mission starts at warp 1. You need warp 285 to complete it. The route runs Nalla, then Erzon’Uk, then back to Pterodasia in KSG space. The 14 hostiles have no system attached, so any hostiles of level 49 or higher count, even though the story places the raiders in Erzon’Uk. The recommended level is 55.

Tips
The hostile requirement is low for a level 55 mission. Level 49 is six levels under the recommended level, so the 14 kills should go quickly on the nearest hostiles that qualify.
What We Lost comes next at the same warp 285 and also stops in Nalla, so the ship that finishes this mission can go straight on to the next one. That mission has no fights.
