Double Down is a late story mission in Star Trek Fleet Command. You lead the counter-attack on a Romulan docking station in Yina, choosing between the Diversion Team and the Infiltration Team. It starts at warp 1 and needs warp 120 to complete. The game lists a recommended level of 1, but warp 120 and fights above 6.5 million strength are the real bar. The Diversion Team pays Dilithium and Interceptor parts; the Infiltration Team pays Tritanium and Explorer parts. Both pay the same Romulan standing.

Double Down objectives

The mission opens with one shared step and then branches:

  • Go to the Romulan docking station. Location: Yina.
  • Lead the Diversion Team or the Infiltration Team? This is the choice split.

Diversion Team

  • Defeat 20 Hostiles of Level 44 or higher.
  • Defeat the Romulan Centurion. Location: Yina. Enemy strength is roughly 7,227,080.
  • Return to your Station.

Rewards: 9,450,000 Dilithium, 900 4★ Common Interceptor Parts, 600 Romulan Credits, 538,000 Romulan Points and -593,952 Federation Points.

Infiltration Team

  • Defeat the Romulan Guard Ship. Location: Yina. Enemy strength is roughly 6,542,068.
  • Attack the docking station. Location: Yina.
  • Return to your Station.

Rewards: 21,300,000 Tritanium, 600 4★ Common Explorer Parts, 600 Romulan Credits, 538,000 Romulan Points and -593,952 Federation Points.

Where and what warp

The mission appears at warp 1, and completing it needs warp 120. Yina is the only named system; the Diversion Team’s 20 hostiles can be anywhere, as long as they are level 44 or higher.

The recommended level is listed as 1. Either path ends with a fight well above 6 million strength.

Double Down rewards

Reward Diversion Team Infiltration Team
Dilithium 9,450,000 None
Tritanium None 21,300,000
4★ Common Interceptor Parts 900 None
4★ Common Explorer Parts None 600
Romulan Credits 600 600
Romulan Points 538,000 538,000
Federation Points -593,952 -593,952

Either path unlocks the next mission, Back and Forth.

Which team to lead

The Infiltration Team is the shorter route: one fight of about 6,542,068, an attack on the docking station, and home. The Diversion Team adds 20 level 44 hostiles and ends with a slightly stronger Centurion at about 7,227,080.

The rewards should decide it. Dilithium and Interceptor parts come from the diversion; Tritanium and Explorer parts come from the infiltration. The diversion pays 300 more ship parts to make up for the extra work.

A similar Diversion or Infiltration choice appears in Two Steps Ahead, where the Diversion Team also grinds hostiles and the Infiltration Team takes one big fight and bombards a base.

Where it sits in the story

Double Down follows Unbreakable, where you defend Rihala’s base, and leads into Back and Forth, which asks for a 5M Dilithium donation, 15 hostiles of level 45 or higher and a Romulan Commander of about 5,867,534. All three need warp 120.

Tips

If you plan to take the diversion, keep some of its Dilithium for Back and Forth, since that mission asks for a 5M Dilithium donation and the diversion pays 9.45M.

Repair before the final fight on either path. Both end with a fight above 6.5 million strength.
