Deniability is a short Federation combat mission in Star Trek Fleet Command. Nausicaans have heard about a gas’s poisonous qualities and try to steal it, and you stop them. It starts at warp 1 and needs warp 13 to complete, and the game lists a recommended level of 1. There are two fights, a Nausicaan Raider of about 30,910 and the Raider captain of about 30,371. The reward is 60,000 Parsteel, ten 1 Hour Speed Ups and 400 Federation Points, and finishing it unlocks Accountability.

Deniability objectives

There are three objectives and no choice split:

  • Defeat the Nausicaan Raider. Location: Elona. Enemy strength is roughly 30,910.
  • Track down the remaining Raiders. Location: Coridan.
  • Defeat the Raider captain. Location: Coridan. Enemy strength is roughly 30,371.

The mission opens with a fight: the first Nausicaan Raider is waiting in Elona. You then track the rest to Coridan and finish with the Raider captain. There is no return-to-station step, so the mission ends in Coridan.

Where and what warp

The mission is available from warp 1 and needs warp 13 to complete. Elona and Coridan are the two systems involved, both neutral.

The recommended level is listed as 1. The two fights are close in strength, both around 30,000, so one combat ship that can handle that can finish the mission.

Deniability rewards

Reward Amount
Parsteel 60,000
1 Hour Speed Up 10
Federation Credits 35
Federation Points 400
Klingon Points -288

The speed ups add up to ten hours. Completing the mission also unlocks the next one, Accountability.

Other warp 13 missions through Elona and Coridan

Elona and Coridan turn up in several missions that also finish at warp 13. If you are in the area, it can make sense to run them together. Current game data:

Mission Story Rewards
Deniability Stop Nausicaans stealing a poisonous gas 60,000 Parsteel, 10 × 1 Hour Speed Up, Federation Credits and Points
A Moral Compass Work with the Enterprise to find the Vi’dar 250 3★ Common Refined Crystal
Outskirts Work with Khan to acquire restricted Starfleet equipment 8 × 3 Hour Speed Up, 36 × 5 Minute Repair Speed Up, 70 Augment Points

Tips

Start in combat trim. The first objective is a fight, so there is no travel-only step to warm up with. Go into Elona with a repaired combat ship.

Mind the Klingon loss if you are close to a Klingon reputation tier. At 288 Klingon Points it is small, but it is there.

Use the speed ups on building or research timers. Ten hours of general speed up time goes a long way at this stage.

The mission before this one is Vulnerability, and the next is Accountability. Other missions sorted by level are on the mission guide.
