Winds of Change III is a level 53 Immortal mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you persuade a mercenary company to work with the Immortals. It starts at warp 1 after Winds of Change II and needs warp 285 to complete. You find the mercenaries in Eady, pay them 5.8 billion Parsteel, and return to the Immortals in Mons Mortis. There are no fights. The reward is 3,000,000,000 Parsteel and 137,700,000 Tritanium, so the mission costs more Parsteel than it pays back. It unlocks Winds of Change IV.
Winds of Change III objectives
There are three objectives and no choice split:
- Find the mercenary company. Location: Eady.
- Pay 5.8B Parsteel to the mercenary.
- Return to the Immortals. Location: Mons Mortis.
The payment step has no location and comes straight after you find the company. There is no option to fight or bargain; the mission only moves on once the Parsteel is paid.
Wo und welcher Warp
No pickup system is listed. Winds of Change III appears at warp 1 once Winds of Change II is done, and warp 285 is needed to reach Eady and Mons Mortis.
The recommended level is 53. With no hostile listed, the real bar is having 5.8 billion Parsteel on hand.
Winds of Change III rewards
| Belohnung | Amount |
|---|---|
| Parsteel | 3,000,000,000 |
| Tritanium | 137,700,000 |
| Romulanisch Kredite | 800 |
| Romulan Points | 1,400,000 |
| Föderation Punkte | -1,780,800 |
Completing this mission unlocks Winds of Change IV. The Federation Points loss is explained on the Fraktionsruf page.
The Parsteel math
You pay 5.8 billion Parsteel and get 3 billion back, a net cost of 2.8 billion. The Immortal missions around this one pay Parsteel that can cover it:
| Mission | Recommended level | Parsteel paid |
|---|---|---|
| Community Service (level 52) | 52 | 3,000,000,000 |
| Winds of Change III | 53 | 3,000,000,000 (after paying 5.8B) |
| Winds of Change IV (do not destroy the station) | 53 | 3,000,000,000 |
| Winds of Change V | 53 | 3,000,000,000 |
Community Service alone, three missions back, pays 3 billion, which is most of the 5.8 billion needed here if you saved it.
Tips
Save the Parsteel from Community Service. If you spend it on upgrades, this mission stalls at the payment step until you rebuild the stock.
The Tritanium is the useful part of the reward. At 137,700,000 it is the second-highest Tritanium payout in the Winds of Change missions, behind the 255,150,000 from the resource path of Part IV.
Plan your route: Eady first, pay, then Mons Mortis. Nothing attacks you on the way, so any ship with warp 285 will do, including one you would not send into combat. Mons Mortis is also the pickup system for the Immortal side mission Tal Shiar Burglary II. More missions by level are on the mission guide.
