Blackout is a Romulan-side story mission in Star Trek Fleet Command about a catastrophic power outage on the Nomad moon of Ommos. The Andorians are blamed, and your job is to take revenge. It starts at warp 1 and needs warp 27 to complete, and the game lists a recommended level of 1. After investigating in Galorndon Core, you hunt down the Andorians in Azati and destroy their Kumari at roughly 153,150 strength. The reward is 183,000 Tritanium, 17 repair speed ups and Romulan standing.

Blackout objectives

There are three objectives and no choice split:

  • Fly to Galorndon Core to investigate the power outage. Location: Galorndon Core.
  • Find the Andorians responsible for the attack. Location: Azati.
  • Destroy the Andorian Kumari. Location: Azati. Enemy strength is roughly 153,150.

The investigation starts in Galorndon Core and leads to Azati. Destroying the Andorian Kumari there is the last step, so the mission ends in Azati with no return trip.

Wo und welcher Warp

No pickup system is listed. The mission unlocks at warp 1 and needs warp 27 to complete.

The game lists a recommended level of 1. The Andorian Kumari at about 153,150 strength is what actually decides whether you are ready, along with the warp 27 range.

Blackout rewards

Belohnung Amount
Tritanium 183,000
15 Minute Repair Speed Up 17
Romulanisch Kredite 230
Romulan Points 10,000
Föderation Punkte -6,960

The Federation Points line is a loss, so finishing Blackout lowers your Federation standing a little.

How it compares with the Nomad storyline

Blackout follows a run of Romulan-side Missionen around the Suliban Nomads. Current game Daten for several of them:

Mission Warp to complete Fight Main rewards
Für das Wohl der Allgemeinheit 32 Doasen (~153,150) 101,000 Dilithium, 250 Romulan Credits
Feind der Nomaden 32 Traitorous Cabalist (~431,670) 8,414,000 Parsteel or 1,238,000 Tritanium by choice, 350 Romulan Credits
Fokus-Angriff 39 Andorian defender (~296,419) 2,790,000 Parsteel, 5 8 Hour Speed Up, 280 Romulan Credits
Verdunkelung 27 Andorian Kumari (~153,150) 183,000 Tritanium, 17 15 Minute Repair Speed Up, 230 Romulan Credits

Blackout comes straight after Focus Attack but is the easier of the two. It needs less warp, and its Andorian Kumari is about half the strength of Focus Attack’s Andorian defender. The Romulan standing it pays is also smaller, 10,000 against 18,000.

For the Greater Good and Enemy of the Nomads both end in Galorndon Core, so players following this storyline will already know the first stop. Doasen in For the Greater Good has exactly the same strength as the Kumari here, about 153,150, which makes it a good benchmark.

Tips

Bring a combat ship from the start. The only fight is at the far end of the route, in Azati.

If you beat the Andorian defender in Focus Attack, the Kumari here should not be a problem, since it is much weaker.

Previous mission: Focus Attack. Other missions sorted by level are on the mission guide.
