City Middle is a station mission in Star Trek Fleet Command with a single objective: upgrade Operations to level 38. It needs only warp 1, and the game lists a recommended level of 1, so the Operations 38 upgrade is the only real requirement. The reward is 40,000,000 Parsteel, and finishing it unlocks Ancestral Answer. The mission pays for part of an upgrade you would build anyway.
City Middle objectives
The story line is the objective itself. There is one step and no choice split:
No system is named, no hostile is listed and nothing is donated. The mission completes when Operations reaches level 38.
Wo und welcher Warp
Warp 1 to start, warp 1 to complete, and no pickup system. Everything happens at your station.
The recommended level shows as 1, but you cannot finish until Operations 38 is built, so treat the upgrade as the true level requirement.
City Middle rewards
The reward is 40,000,000 Parsteel. Completing the mission also unlocks the next mission in the storyline.
What Operations 38 costs
The upgrade is expensive, and the Parsteel reward covers only a small share of it. Current building data for the step:
| Operations level | Kosten | Build time | Requirement |
|---|---|---|---|
| 37 | 10,935,000 Tritanium, 594,864,000 Parsteel, 3,645,000 Dilithium, 3,900 3★ Common Refined Ore, 1,620 3★ Ungewöhnlich Raffiniertes Erz | 52d 21h | Shipyard 36 |
| 38 | 17,010,000 Tritanium, 925,344,000 Parsteel, 5,670,000 Dilithium, 4,300 3★ Common Refined Erze, 1,900 3★ Uncommon Refined Ore | 85d 18h | Shipyard 37 |
Against a Parsteel bill of more than 925 million, the 40 million reward is about 4 percent. Put another way, it is a refund that helps with the next upgrade rather than a way to pay for this one.
Missions before and after
| Mission | Recommended level | Warp zum Abschließen | Belohnungen |
|---|---|---|---|
| Heimatwelten (before) | 1 | 40 | See its guide |
| Stadt Mitte | 1 | 1 | 40,000,000 Parsteel |
| Antwort der Vorfahren (after) | 1 | 47 | 800 Ultra Recruit Tokens, 50 each of 3★ Rare Refined Ore, Crystal and Gas |
Tips
Start Shipyard 37 early. Operations 38 requires it, and the build timer on Operations itself is almost 86 days before speed-ups, so any delay on the Shipyard pushes this mission back further.
Ancestral Answer, the next mission, needs warp 47. If your ships are short of that range, you can still complete City Middle for the Parsteel and come back to the storyline later.
Every other mission by level is on the Missionsleitfaden.
