Upgrade Operations to Level 38 is a station upgrade mission in Star Trek Fleet Command. Its one objective is to raise your Operations building to level 38, and it needs warp 1 to start and to complete, so there is no travel and no fight. The game lists it at recommended level 1. The reward is 9,000,000 Tritanium and two 3 Hour Repair Speed Ups, a little over half the Tritanium the upgrade itself costs.

The story line is the building’s own description: Operations houses the command center and the Station’s main computer. Each mission in this series tracks one level of Operations, the building whose upgrades unlock more of your station.

No system is attached to the objective. Warp 1 is listed to start and to complete, so everything happens at your station. The recommended level of 1 means there is no level gate on the mission; the upgrade is the only requirement.

Shipyard 37 is the only building prerequisite. The build time is the notable change: Operations 37 takes 52 days 21 hours unboosted, and level 38 jumps to more than 85 days.

Level 38 is the first of these three to pay two repair speed ups instead of one. The Tritanium reward rises by a million, but the upgrade’s Tritanium cost rises by about six million, so the refund covers a smaller share than before.

Operations 39, the target of the next mission, lists Shipyard 38 and Schiffshangar 38 as requirements, with a base cost of 29.02M Tritanium, 1.58B Parsteel, 9.68M Dilithium, 4,800 3★ Common Refined Ore and 500 3★ Rare Refined Ore. Knowing that now lets you start on Ship Hangar 38 while Operations 38 is still building.
Tips
Finish Shipyard 37 before anything else. It is the single building Operations 38 requires.
Put the 9 million Tritanium straight toward Operations 39, which needs almost 30 million.
Keep the two 3 Hour Repair Speed Ups for combat ships coming back from hard fights.
