Revenge Begets Revenge is a Romulan story mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you stop Vulcan extremists from destroying Voros Outpost. It follows Reprisal and needs warp 13 to complete. You warn the Romulans in Kaikara, fight off the USS Michigan, escort Kumak to the Romulanisch colony on Tozuu and defeat the Vulcan Vahklas. The reward is three Nero shards, a 12 Hour Speed Up and a small Romulan reputation gain. Together with Reprisal, it adds up to six Nero shards.
Revenge Begets Revenge objectives
Four objectives, no choice split:
- Warn the Romulans in the Kaikara system. Location: Kaikara.
- Defeat the USS Michigan. Location: Kaikara. Enemy strength is roughly 39,484.
- Take Kumak to the Romulan colony on Tozuu. Location: V'varia.
- Defeat the Vulcan Vahklas. Standort: V'varia. Enemy strength is roughly 17,996.
The first fight is the harder one. When you arrive in Kaikara to warn the Romulans, the USS Michigan is there at around 39,500 strength. After that you carry Kumak to Tozuu in V’varia, where the Vulcan Vahklas waits at less than half that strength. Beating the Vahklas ends the mission; there is no return-to-station step.

There is no pickup system and the mission can be accepted from warp 1. Completing it needs warp 13, which covers Kaikara and V’varia. The game lists a recommended level of 1. The USS Michigan at around 39,500 strength is the better measure of whether your ship is ready.

Reprisal starts the story with a Romulan ship destroyed in the Neutral Zone and a mystery aggressor, which you trace to Astrida and the Vulcan system. Revenge Begets Revenge is the payback. Both Missionen carry identical reputation lines: 250 Romulan Points, with 132 Federation and 88 Klingon Points taken away. The main fight in each sits just under 40,000 strength, so the same ship can handle both.
Tips
Run the two missions back to back if you are building Nero. Three shards from each gives six in total, and the fights are similar enough that you will not need a different ship.
The reputation changes are small at 250 Romulan Points, but they point toward the Romulans. If you are protecting Federation or Klingon standing, the losses here are minor.
