Cross Section is a Klingon mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you wipe out a band of Section 31 operatives who have infiltrated Klingon space. You scout Balduk and destroy a Starfleet Interceptor, capture the lead operative in Archanis, then take the agents to the prison colony of Rura Penthe. It is picked up in Katovug at warp 48 and needs warp 61 to complete. The reward is 1,200 Ultra Recruit Tokens, 500 Föderation Recruit Tokens, 600 Klingonisch Credits and 100,000 Klingon Points.
Cross Section objectives
There are four objectives in a fixed order and no choice split:
- Scout out the Balduk system. Location: Balduk.
- Destroy the Starfleet Interceptor. Location: Balduk. Enemy strength is roughly 2,104,711.
- Capture the lead Operative. Location: Archanis. Enemy strength is roughly 2,444,336.
- Transport the Section 31 agents to Rura Penthe. Location: Beta Penthe.
There are two fights: the Interceptor in Balduk and the lead operative in Archanis, who is the stronger of the two. The last step is the prisoner run to Beta Penthe.
Wo und welcher Warp
Cross Section is only offered in Katovug, and you need warp 48 to accept it. Finishing it takes warp 61. The game lists a recommended level of 1. The real bar is the warp 61 range and two fights at 2.1 and 2.4 million strength.
The game lists Klingon Transports, Patrols, Fighters and War Armies across Katovug, Balduk and Archanis at level 36 to 42, with Veteran Klingon Patrols and Transports in Katovug and Balduk and Veteran Romulanisch Patrols in Balduk. None of them are mission targets.

Cross Section is a standalone mission and does not unlock a follow-up. It is the only mission offered from Katovug.
Cross Section and Exile
Cross Section ends at the same prison colony as Exil, another Klingon prisoner run to Rura Penthe.

Both pay 100,000 Klingon Points. Cross Section is the tougher run and pays in recruit tokens; Exile is lighter and pays in Tritanium and speed ups.
Tips
Repair between Balduk and Archanis. The lead operative is the harder fight and comes second.
The 1,200 Ultra Recruit Tokens are the headline reward. The Romulan Points loss of 134,400 is the cost, so hold off if you are building Romulan standing. Other missions by level are on the Missionsleitfaden.
