Miscommunications is a story mission in Star Trek Fleet Command in which you help a friend of Uhura’s out of a dangerous situation. You find the friend in Orion, defeat an Orion Slaver at roughly 44,329 strength and bring the Daten to Uhura in Wauoxic. It can be picked up in any of seven systems, needs warp 19 to start and finish, and pays 98,000 Parsteel. It is a short three-step job with one fight.
Miscommunications objectives

The first two steps happen in Orion, a level 12 neutral system. Once the friend is found, the Orion Slaver is the only fight. The last step is a delivery to Uhura in Wauoxic, a level 24 Romulanisch system, which completes the mission. There is no return to your station.

The mission can be picked up in Nipaj, Loiat, Loaiy, Bazamex, Wauoxic, Metea or Vosak. These are level 24 and 25 systems across Federation, Klingonisch, Romulan and neutral space. Warp 19 covers the start and the finish.
The game lists a recommended level of 1. The Orion Slaver at about 44,329 strength is the only real test.
Miscommunications rewards
The reward is 98,000 Parsteel. The mission data does not list a follow-up mission unlocked by this one.

Miscommunications is the shortest of these with a scripted fight, but it pays the least Parsteel. Footprints has a similar fight and nearly four times the reward, and Titans of Industry needs no combat at all. Red Jack, from the same pickup cluster, is the longest of the group: it follows Oleanna through Rigel, Risa and Draken and ends with a choice between taking Red Jack’s bribe and bringing him to justice.
Tips
Pick it up from Wauoxic if you can. The mission ends there, so starting from the same system keeps the route to Orion and back simple.
Bring a combat ship for the Orion Slaver. At about 44,329 strength it is a fair fight for a crewed combat hull in this range, and a poor match for a mining ship. Other missions sorted by level are on the Missionsleitfaden.
