Course Correction is a five-part Star Trek Fleet Command mission chain in which Uhura and Ortegas lead a survey team into restricted Rogue space to study the planet Synbi, then chase Teera and settle things with the Dal. Every part is recommended for level 34. Parts 1 to 4 need warp 24 and Part 5 needs warp 13, and the chain begins in the Opla system. Rewards include two batches of SNW Erica Ortegas shards, 1,200 Premium Recruit Tokens, 17,354,000 Parsteel and a stack of 12 Hour Assignment Speed Ups. The late fights are tough for level 34, and the Ortegas shards make it worth pushing through.

Tips for completing Course Correction

The difficulty climbs sharply after Part 2. Parts 1 and 2 have fights around 415,000 to 419,000 enemy strength, but Part 3 jumps to 527,149 and then 703,284, and Parts 4 and 5 stay in the 647,000 to 703,000 range. At level 34 you may need your strongest ship and crew for the Interceptor in Yuma and Teera’s ship in The Principium.

Warp 24 covers Parts 1 to 4, and Part 5 drops to warp 13, so range is only a concern at the start. Keep 400k Tritanium ready for the repair delivery in Part 1; it is the only donation in the chain.

The Premium Recruit Tokens in Part 2 are the same on both branches, so choose on the other rewards. Following Voxxis’s advice gives Dilithium and 3 Hour Speed Ups with no extra fight. Chasing the Nausicaans gives 5,960,000 Parsteel and two more Assignment Speed Ups. In Part 4 both branches pay 17,354,000 Parsteel and both include one fight around 647,357, so the only difference is 511,000 Dilithium against 2,552,000 Tritanium.

Repair between fights, especially in Part 3 where two tough enemies come back to back. The 26 × 30 Minute Repair Speed Ups from Part 5 help with the next chain. More chains around level 34 are listed on the Missionsleitfaden.

Are the Course Correction rewards worth it?

Yes, especially if you want Ortegas. Two batches of SNW Erica Ortegas shards, 1,200 Premium Recruit Tokens across Parts 1 and 2, 17,354,000 Parsteel from Part 4 and a pile of 12 Hour Assignment Speed Ups make this a strong five-part chain. The catch is the fights from Part 3 onward, which run well above the enemies in the first two parts. If your ships cannot handle about 700,000 enemy strength yet, come back when they can.
