The KSG Procurement is a Klingon faction hostile that spawns at levels 50 to 59 across Klingon space, in systems that start at warp 185 and reach warp 400 at the top of the range. It only appears as a Survey ship, so no class matchup applies: bring your strongest combat ship. Each kill raises your Federation and Romulan reputation, lowers your Klingonisch reputation, and drops 5-star Broken Survey Parts.
How to beat the KSG Procurement
The KSG Procurement only spawns as a Survey ship, so there is no counter triangle to work through and nothing to swap between levels. An Explorer, Interceptor, or Battleship all get the same fight. Do not assume it rolls over the way most survey hostiles do, though. Its attack stat runs nearly double its defense at every level, and it backs that up with two weapon groups and a piercing buff, so an underpowered ship will feel it.
That buff is its ship ability, Pen of Kahless. It raises the hostile’s Shield Piercing, Armor Piercing, and Accuracy for the first five rounds of combat, scaling from 25% at levels 50 to 52, to 50% at 53 to 55, and 75% at 56 to 59. Piercing cuts through mitigation, so the opening rounds land harder than the stat sheet suggests. The clean answer is to end the fight fast: favor raw weapon damage over survivability so the buff never gets time to matter.
Crew for damage. Put a captain in the chair whose ability boosts weapon damage against hostiles, and fill the other seats with Offiziere that add damage or shave incoming hits. At this level range the early cadet crews are long outgrown, so check the officer tier list for current picks. Crews shift with the meta, so treat any named combo as a starting point rather than a fixed answer.
Where to find the KSG Procurement
The KSG Procurement lives entirely in Klingon space. The low band, levels 50 to 53, spreads across warp 185 systems such as Ariadexa, Cypha, Seretos, Zameda, and tIn jIb, with Pterodasia, Santesso, and Kur’than joining the list as the level climbs. From level 54 the warp requirement rises in steps, 230, then 255, then 285, and the spawn list narrows until the level 58 and 59 versions appear only in Kur’than at warp 400. Since every kill lowers your Klingon reputation, a long farming session here comes at a real cost to your Klingon standing.

| 56 | 255 | Kur’than, Pterodasia, Santesso, Seretos, Zameda |

Rewards and what it drops
This is a dual-faction grinder’s target, and it pays well. Every kill adds Federation and Romulan reputation while subtracting Klingon reputation. Federation points run from 24,000 per kill at level 50 up to 143,680 at level 59, with Romulan points at half that rate. The Klingon loss is steep, up to 538,800 per kill at the top of the range. Each kill also drops 5-star Broken Survey Parts, from 122 at the bottom of the band to 1,514 at the top, and ship XP scales from 3,000 to 10,822 per kill.
| Ablegen | What it is |
|---|---|
| 5★ Broken Survey Parts | Salvage that refines into parts for building and upgrading 5★ Vermessungsschiffe |
| Federation Points | Federation reputation gain, 24,000 to 143,680 per kill by level |
| Romulan Points | Romulan reputation gain, 12,000 to 71,840 per kill by level |
| Klingon Points | Klingon reputation loss, up to 538,800 per kill at the top of the range |

KSG Procurement firing pattern
The KSG Procurement fires two weapon groups. A single energy weapon hits every round for steady damage, while a kinetic weapon lands every other round and hits twice as hard per shot. The kinetic rounds are the spikes to watch, and they hurt most early, while Pen of Kahless is boosting the ship’s piercing and accuracy. The figures below come from the level 50 version and scale up with level.
| Weapon type | Count | Damage per shot | Fires | Crit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Energie | 1 | 598,801–731,872 | Every round | 10% (1.8x) |
| Kinetic | 1 | 1,197,602–1,463,744 | Every other round | 10% (1.8x) |
The Klingons in Star Trek
The Klingons are the warrior empire of Star Trek, ruled from the planet Qo’noS and bound by a code of honor that traces back to Kahless the Unforgettable, the legendary figure who united their people and whose name this hostile’s ability borrows. They spent the original series era as the Federation’s chief rivals, fought a brutal war with it in Discovery’s first season, and later became allies through the long arc of Worf, the first Klingon officer in Starfleet. Even an empire built on glory in battle needs supply lines, which is where a procurement vessel like this one fits in.
Is the KSG Procurement worth grinding?
Yes, if you are pushing Federation or Romulan reputation past level 50. Few targets pay both factions at once, and the 5-star Broken Survey Parts are a handy side income for your survey program. Skip it if you care about your Klingon standing, because the reputation loss per kill is heavy. Practical tip: match your warp range to a level band you can kill quickly, since a fast kill also blunts Pen of Kahless.
