The Federation War Armada is a Federation Battleship hostile in Star Trek Fleet Command. It roams core Föderation systems at levels 35 to 42, then returns as a much tougher spawn at levels 53 to 55 out in Assimilated Tellar. It only appears as a Battleship, so an Interceptor is your counter. Kills drop Parsteel, Dilithium, Broken Battleship Parts, and Klingon and Romulan reputation, though attacking it costs you Federation reputation.
How to beat the Federation War Armada
The Federation War Armada only spawns as a Battleship, and Schlachtschiffe are countered by Interceptors. Bring an Interceptor and there is nothing to swap between levels, since the hull never changes. It has no special combat ability to plan around, so this is a straight power check: bring a ship that out-guns the level you are hitting. The jump from the low band to the level 53 to 55 spawn is steep. Total strength climbs from about 3.7 million at level 35 to over 57 million at level 55, so the ship that cleared the level 35 systems will not survive the high-level version.
For the crew, put a captain that boosts weapon damage against hostiles in the captain’s chair, then fill the other seats with Offiziere that add damage or reduce the hits you take. In the lower level band a cadet crew is a cheap starting point: Cadet Kirk as captain with Cadet Spock and Cadet Uhura. By the level 53 to 55 spawn you will want stronger officers, so check the Officer Tier List for current picks. Crews shift with the meta, so treat any named lineup as a starting point rather than a fixed answer.
Where to find the Federation War Armada
At the lower levels the Federation War Armada is spread across the core Federation systems, reachable from warp 24 and rising to warp 40 as the level climbs. The level 42 spawn narrows down to a single system, Groombridge 34, and the high-level 53 to 55 version sits far out in Assimilated Tellar behind warp 320. If you are farming for volume, stick to the level 35 to 40 rows, where the target shows up across the widest spread of systems.

Rewards and what it drops
The Federation War Armada is built for players farming faction reputation and mid-tier ship parts. Attacking it raises your Klingon and Romulan reputation while lowering your Federation reputation, so it suits Klingon or Romulan aligned accounts better than Federation loyalists. The lower levels also pay out raw resources, and from level 40 up it starts dropping battleship repair parts. Ship XP scales up steeply with level.
