Bond Broken is a level 56 story mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you settle matters with the Enterprise. You meet the ship in Kayla and then choose: submit and fight alongside it against the USS Cambodia, or defend yourself and fight the Enterprise directly. Both fights are about 33.7 million strength. The mission starts at warp 1 and needs warp 120 to complete. Every path pays 133,650,000 Tritanium; the choice adds either 700 3 Hour Speed Ups or a 1 Day Peace Shield.

The recommended level is 56. Whichever path you take, a fight of about 33.7 million strength is the real test.

Which choice to make
The fights are the same strength, and the Tritanium is identical, so the decision comes down to 700 3 Hour Speed Ups against a single 1 Day Peace Shield. In raw value the speed ups are far larger: 700 of them add up to 2,100 hours, or 87.5 days, of general speed up time, which is a real dent in a late-game building or research timer.
The peace shield only makes sense if you need protection urgently, for example if you are about to go offline in a hostile area with a large stockpile at risk. Submitting to the Enterprise costs one extra jump to Alea, which is a small price for the speed ups.
Where it sits in the story
Bond Broken follows Under Better Circumstances and leads into Was vor uns liegt. Current game Daten for the three:

All three share a recommended level of 56. What Lies Ahead has no fight, but it needs Operations 56, so check that upgrade before you rush through Bond Broken.
Tips
Repair fully after the VESTA fight in the previous mission. Bond Broken’s fight is only slightly weaker, and you want your strongest ship at full hull for it.
Look at the Operations 56 bill early. Current game data puts it at 64.35B Tritanium, 18.2T Parsteel and 21.45B Dilithium plus 5★ refined Erze, with Shipyard 55, Defense Platform F 30 and Refinery 55 as requirements. The 133.65M Tritanium from Bond Broken helps, but it is a small part of that cost.
