Dangerous Excursions is a Federation story mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where Savash, an Andorian surveyor, needs a military escort for a mining expedition. You escort the survey party to Hyland and beat a Corvallen Pirate, then move on to Holles to look for more resources and beat a Corvallen Captain. It starts at warp 1 and needs warp 75 to complete. The reward is 600 4★ Common Explorer Parts, ten 8 Hour Speed Ups, 600 Federation Credits and 216,000 Federation Points, and finishing it unlocks Telepresence.
Dangerous Excursions objectives
There are four objectives in a fixed order and no choice split:
- Escort the survey party to Hyland. Location: Hyland.
- Defeat the Corvallen Pirate. Location: Hyland. Enemy strength is roughly 3,358,989.
- Go to Holles to search for more resources. Location: Holles.
- Defeat the Corvallen Captain. Location: Holles. Enemy strength is roughly 5,773,328.
Each system has one fight, and the second is much harder. The Corvallen Captain in Holles is about 2.4 million strength stronger than the Pirate in Hyland.
Where and what warp
You can accept Dangerous Excursions at warp 1, and warp 75 covers Hyland and Holles. The game lists a recommended level of 1. The Corvallen Captain at about 5.8 million strength is the fight that decides whether you are ready.
The game lists Federation Traders, Patrols and Peacekeepers in both systems at level 39 to 46, with a Federation Scout in Hyland. None of them are mission targets.

Completing it unlocks Telepresence, where you help the Andorians gather combat data from a Vulcan drone.

Dangerous Excursions is the only one of the three that needs warp 75. It and Telepresence both pay 216,000 Federation Points and cost 318,816 Klingon Points.
Tips
Repair before Holles. The Captain there is the hardest fight in the mission, and you arrive straight from the Hyland battle.
The 600 4★ Common Explorer Parts are the reward to plan around if you are upgrading an explorer. The ten 8 Hour Speed Ups add 80 hours of build or research time on top.
