Community Service is the name of two different missions in Star Trek Fleet Command. The lower one, recommended for level 40, is a Delta Quadrant story where you figure out what the trader Yazabac is up to; it is picked up in Tolonus and needs warp 26 to start and finish. Both of its endings pay a Neelix shard. The level 52 version is an Immortal datapad hand-in, covered further down. The level 40 mission is the one to do for Neelix.
Community Service objectives
The level 40 mission has five shared objectives before it splits:
- Return Yazabac to Alpha Quadrant. Location: Neethia.
- Destroy the lost cargo. Location: Kalak.
- Defeat 10 hostiles of Level 40 or higher.
- Deliver the prisoners to Alpha Quadrant. Location: Kejal.
- Get to Yazabac. Location: Neethia.
Then you decide how to deal with Yazabac.
Let Yazabac go
- Get the hidden loot. Location: Irryit.
Rewards for this path: 1 Neelix shard, 5,000 Latinum, 25 8 Hour Speed Ups. Yazabac buys his freedom by giving you the coordinates of his hidden savings.
Destroy Yazabac’s ship
- Destroy Yazabac’s ship. Location: Neethia. Enemy strength around 3,598,569.
Rewards for this path: 1 Neelix shard, 50 10K Dilithium Tokens, 70 15 Minute Repair Speed Ups. You tell Yazabac he is going to the Federation for investigation, and he charges his weapons instead.
Where and what warp
The level 40 mission is picked up in Tolonus, and warp 26 covers every step, including the stops in Kalak, Kejal and Irryit. The recommended level is 40. The 10 hostiles of level 40 or higher and, on the second path, Yazabac’s ship at around 3.6 million strength are the combat.

The Neelix shard is the same on both paths, so pick based on the rest: Latinum and 8 Hour Speed Ups if you let him go, or 500,000 Dilithium in tokens and repair speed ups if you fight.
Community Service at other levels
The second Community Service is part of the Immortal storyline. It follows Building Immortal Trust V and asks you to prove yourself to the wider Immortal community by collecting and donating 5 Immortal Datapads. It needs only warp 1, pays 3,000,000,000 Parsteel, 182,250,000 Tritanium, 800 Romulan Credits and 1,200,000 Romulan Points, removes 1,497,600 Federation Points (see faction reputation), and unlocks Winds of Change I.

Immortal Datapads for the level 52 version come from Immortal side missions such as Tribbles Begone, A Miner Issue and Settling a Debt, each of which pays one.
Tips
For the level 40 mission, clear the 10 hostiles while you travel between Neethia, Kalak and Kejal, since the count is not tied to a system.
If you choose to fight Yazabac, his ship is listed at around 3.6 million strength, and it is the only named fight in the mission.
For the level 52 version, the Immortal side missions that pay datapads start in Adrisilver, van Vlerken and Remme, so plan a route through those systems. More missions by level are on the mission guide.
