Border Lands is a Klingon patrol mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you run a border route along the Neutral Zone and find out why there is more Federation activity there. It is picked up in Ganalda, needs warp 50 to start and warp 53 to complete, and the game lists a recommended level of 1. There is no combat: four stops and a report. The reward is 500 Klingon Recruit Tokens, 380 Klingon Credits and 50,000 Klingon Points.
Border Lands objectives
There are four objectives and no choice split:
- Visit the Azha system. Location: Azha.
- Contact the Federation ship in the Carraya system. Location: Carraya.
- Investigate the Starfleet presence in the Nibiq system. Location: Nibiq.
- Report back to the General. Location: Ty’Gokor.
The route is a patrol: Azha, Carraya and Nibiq, then back to the General at Ty’Gokor. No hostile is listed at any step.
Where and what warp
The pickup system is Ganalda. The mission needs warp 50 to start and warp 53 to complete, so check that your ship can reach every stop before you pick it up.
The recommended level is listed as 1, and with no fights, range is the only real requirement.

The game data lists no next mission unlocked by Border Lands, so it stands on its own.

Other Klingon missions from Ganalda
Ganalda is also the pickup system for two other Klingon missions at warp 50. Both involve combat:

Border Lands is the only one of the three without a fight, and it is the one that pays recruit tokens. The other two pay twice the Klingon Points but need a ship that can beat enemies near two million power.
Glory in Death also passes through Carraya, where you confront the Romulan Ambassador on O’weQ.
Tips
Send a non-combat ship with warp 53. The patrol is travel only, so your battleships are better used on the other Ganalda missions.
