An Answer is a Star Trek Fleet Command mission that reveals the fate of the USS Newton. The game lists a recommended level of 1, it starts at warp 1 and needs warp 56 to complete, and there is no combat: you meet the Newton in Mina and escort it back to Federation space at Fibona. The reward is 1,800,000 Tritanium, and it unlocks Operations 41. Warp 56 is the only real requirement.
An Answer objectives
Two objectives, no choice split:
- Rendezvous with the Newton in Mina. Location: Mina.
- Escort the Newton back to Federation space. Location: Fibona.
You find the Newton in Mina and bring it home through Fibona. No hostile is listed for either step, and nothing has to be donated.
Where and what warp
You can accept An Answer from your station at warp 1. Warp 56 is needed to complete it.
The recommended level is 1. Because there is no fight, the mission only asks that your ship can reach Mina and Fibona.
The route is two stops: out to Mina, then across to Fibona. The mission completes on arrival there, without a return trip to your station.
An Answer rewards
The reward is 1,800,000 Tritanium. Completing it unlocks Operations 41.

The Apex and An Answer share warp 56, so a ship that managed one can run the other. Operations 41 is a station step at warp 1, tied to the Operations building.
Tips
Use a non-combat ship with enough range. Both steps are travel, so a survey or mining hull that reaches warp 56 will finish the mission and leave your combat ships free.
The story is simple: the Newton had gone missing, and this mission is where you find it and get it home. It closes that thread before the storyline moves on to the Operations 41 step.
1.8 million Tritanium is a good return for two travel steps. At the Operations 40s, Tritanium is often what holds up building upgrades, so this mission is worth doing as soon as your ship has the range.
