Wisdom In Mercy is a Klingon-aligned story mission in Star Trek Fleet Command in which you track escaped prisoners into Federation space and bring one back to face justice. It starts at warp 1 but needs warp 160 to complete, and it includes a 25-hostile grind plus two named fights of roughly 8 to 9.5 million strength. It ends with a choice about a Romulan family that changes the reward: 1,200 Ultra Recruit Tokens on one side, or 3,300 Latinum and 180 100K Dilithium Tokens on the other. Both sides pay 700 Klingon Credits and 774,000 Klingon Points.
Wisdom In Mercy objectives
The story line reads: find the prisoner and bring them back to Kronos to face justice. The objectives run in this order:
- Track the prisoners to Federation space. Location: New Reykjavik.
- Defeat 25 hostiles of level 48 or higher.
- Defeat the Starfleet captain. Location: New Reykjavik. Enemy strength about 9,527,375.
- Follow the prisoners. Location: New Reykjavik.
- Defeat the prisoner. Location: New Reykjavik. Enemy strength about 8,452,336.
- Decide what to do with the Romulan family.
Choice: decide what to do with the Romulan family
Both options end with the same final objective, bringing the prisoner to Rura Penthe in the Beta Penthe system. What changes is the payout and the reputation cost.
The first option pays 1,200 Ultra Recruit Tokens, 700 Klingon Credits and 774,000 Klingon Points. It costs 1,188,864 Romulan Points and 445,824 Federation Points.
The second option pays 3,300 Latinum, 180 100K Dilithium Tokens, 700 Klingon Credits and 774,000 Klingon Points. It costs 1,188,864 Romulan Points and no Federation Points.
Where and what warp
The mission starts at warp 1 and needs warp 160 to complete. Almost all of it happens in New Reykjavik, a Federation system, and the last leg takes you to Beta Penthe for the hand-over at Rura Penthe.
The game lists a recommended level of 1, but that is not the real bar. The warp 160 finish, the level 48 hostiles and two targets above 8 million strength decide whether you can run it.
Wisdom In Mercy rewards

The 180 100K Dilithium Tokens on the second option are worth 18,000,000 Dilithium in total.
Tips
Clear the 25 hostiles in New Reykjavik before you worry about the named fights. They have to be level 48 or higher, so check hostile levels before you start shooting, and repair between batches so your ship is at full health for the Starfleet captain.
The two named targets come close together, with a travel step in between. The Starfleet captain is the stronger of the two at about 9.5 million, so if your ship handles that fight, the prisoner at about 8.5 million should follow.
For the choice, think about faction reputation as much as loot. If your Federation standing matters to you, the second option avoids the 445,824 Federation Point loss and still pays the same Klingon rewards. If you need recruit tokens more than Latinum and Dilithium, the first option is the one.
The mission before this one is Pursuit, which also finishes at warp 160. More missions sorted by level are on the mission guide.
