Upgrade Shipyard: Level 10

Upgrade Shipyard: Level 10 is an early station mission in Star Trek Fleet Command with one objective: raise your Shipyard to level 10. It starts and finishes at warp 1, and the game lists a recommended level of 1, so the upgrade is the only real requirement. The reward is 500 Tritanium, and completing it leads straight into the next station mission. It is a small bonus for an upgrade you need anyway.

Upgrade Shipyard: Level 10 objectives

The mission text explains that upgrading the Shipyard gives you access to new and more powerful ships. There is a single objective and no choice split:

  • Upgrade Shipyard to Level 10.

No system, hostile or donation is involved. The mission clears when your Shipyard reaches level 10.

Where and what warp

Warp 1 to start and warp 1 to complete, with no pickup system. The whole mission happens on your station.

The recommended level is listed as 1, but the mission only completes once Shipyard 10 is built, so the building is the gate.

What Shipyard 10 needs

Current building data puts the Shipyard 10 upgrade at 10,000 Parsteel and 150 Tritanium, with an unboosted build time of 3 hours 20 minutes. Before it can start, you need Operations 10 and R&D Department 10.

The mission’s 500 Tritanium is more than three times the Tritanium this upgrade costs, so it pays back its own Tritanium and then some. The Parsteel is the larger bill at this level.

Upgrade Shipyard: Level 10 rewards

The reward is 500 Tritanium. In the game’s station mission chain, completing it unlocks Upgrade Operations to Level 11, which pays 1,025 Tritanium and seven 1 Minute Repair Speed Ups.

How Level 10 compares with nearby steps

Each Shipyard level in this range has its own mission, and each pays only Tritanium. Current game data:

Mission Tritanium
Upgrade Shipyard: Level 6 150
Upgrade Shipyard: Level 9 350
Upgrade Shipyard: Level 10 500
Upgrade Shipyard: Level 11 750
Upgrade Shipyard: Level 12 1,000
Upgrade Shipyard: Level 13 1,500
Upgrade Shipyard: Level 14 2,500

The reward rises steadily through the low teens. Level 10 is the midpoint of that climb, and by Level 14 the payout is five times larger.

What the Shipyard gives you

Every Shipyard level raises ship construction speed and tier-up speed. Current building data puts both at 14% at Shipyard 10, up from 6% at Shipyard 5. That is on top of the new ships a higher Shipyard lets you build.

Tips

Line up Operations 10 and R&D Department 10 first. Both are hard requirements, and whichever lags behind decides when Shipyard 10 can start.

Keep the station missions moving in order. Shipyard 10 hands you straight to Operations 11, and each pays more Tritanium than the last. Other station and story missions sorted by level are on the mission guide.
