Unlikely Reunions is a mission in the Discovery storyline of Star Trek Fleet Command, recommended for level 40. You investigate another energy pulse, following a strange warp trail through Sae and Cada-X before retreating to Willenia. It can be picked up at warp 1 and needs warp 25 to complete. There is one fight, against a Klingon ship at nearly 2 million strength, and the reward is 389,000 Dilithium plus 130 Latinum. For a level 40 captain the Dilithium alone makes it worth the trip.
Unlikely Reunions objectives
There are five objectives across three systems, and no choice split:
- Try to analyze the strange warp trail. Location: Sae.
- Investigate the energy pulse. Location: Cada-X.
- Scan the object. Location: Cada-X.
- Defeat the Klingon. Location: Cada-X. Enemy strength is roughly 1,969,977.
- Retreat to safety. Location: Willenia.
The mission opens in Sae, where you try to make sense of the warp trail. The trail leads to Cada-X, and most of the mission happens there: you investigate the energy pulse, scan the object, and then fight the Klingon ship that turns up. The last step pulls you out to Willenia, so the mission ends away from both Cada-X and your station.
Where and what warp
Unlikely Reunions needs warp 1 to start and warp 25 to complete. The mission data lists no pickup system, so the first objective in Sae is where the route begins, followed by Cada-X and then Willenia. The recommended level is 40.
Players at other Operations levels can see different systems. The current game data lists a single route, Sae to Cada-X to Willenia, and that is the one described here.
Unlikely Reunions rewards
| Reward | Amount |
|---|---|
| Dilithium | 389,000 |
| Latinum | 130 |
Completing it also unlocks the next mission, The Future is in the Past.
Unlikely Reunions at other levels
Unlikely Reunions is offered in 4 versions, at recommended levels 3, 12, 26 and 40. The story is the same in each, but the objectives, systems, warp and rewards change with the version. The walkthrough above covers the level 40 version.
| Recommended level | Systems | Warp to complete | Rewards |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3 | No set system | 1 | 15 1★ Explorer Parts, 100 Officer XP |
| 12 | Zehoro, Benif | 8 | 10,000 Parsteel |
| 26 | Arcadion, Jizo | 20 | 8 3★ Uncommon Refined Gas, 19 15 Minute Repair Speed Up |
| 40 (this page) | Sae, Cada-X, Willenia | 25 | 389,000 Dilithium, 130 Latinum |
Where it sits in the Discovery storyline
The mission before Unlikely Reunions is Muddied Vision, in which you try to find Mudd before he can duplicate Maia’s codebase and end up following a fading warp trail. Unlikely Reunions picks up with another energy pulse and another warp trail, and this time the trail leads to a fight. The whole run of missions is covered on the Discovery Arc page.
Tips
Bring a combat ship for Cada-X. The Klingon ship at roughly 1,969,977 strength is the only fight, but it is a serious one, and it comes after two investigation steps in the same system, so you arrive at it without a repair stop in between unless you make one.
Check warp 25 against all three systems. Sae, Cada-X and Willenia each hold at least one objective, and the retreat to Willenia is the last step, so running short of range there leaves the mission unfinished after the fight.
The Dilithium is the headline. 389,000 Dilithium is a large single payout for one mission, and the 130 Latinum is a useful extra. For every other mission by level, see the mission guide.
