Unwanted Guests

Unwanted Guests is an early Star Trek Fleet Command mission from the Hunting the Hunter arc, where you defend your station from a band of Nausicaan mercenaries. It has a recommended level of 6 and needs only warp 1, since the fights come to you. You clear 10 hostiles of level 6 or higher, then beat two Nausicaan Mercenaries and their leader Murrg, all under 550 strength. The reward is 700 Parsteel, 75 Ship XP and two 5 Minute Speed Ups.

Unwanted Guests objectives

There are four objectives and no choice split:

  • Defeat 10 hostiles of Level 6 or higher.
  • Defeat the Nausicaan Mercenary. Enemy strength is roughly 453.
  • Defeat the next Nausicaan Mercenary. Enemy strength is roughly 533.
  • Defeat Murrg. Enemy strength is roughly 473.

The kill count comes first and has no system attached, so any hostile of level 6 or higher counts. After that, three named enemies arrive one by one. The second mercenary is the strongest of the three at about 533, and Murrg, the leader, sits between the two at about 473. No system is listed for any of the named fights.

Where and what warp

Warp 1 to start and warp 1 to complete, with no pickup system. The story has the mercenaries attacking your station, so there is no long trip involved.

The recommended level is 6. The named enemies are small, and the 10 kills are the part that takes the longest.

Unwanted Guests rewards

Reward Amount
Parsteel 700
Ship XP 75
5 Minute Speed Up 2

Completing the mission also unlocks the next mission in the chain.

Unwanted Guests and its neighbours

Unwanted Guests sits between two other early station missions that also need only warp 1:

Mission Recommended level Rewards
Filling in the Gaps 4 700 Parsteel, 140 1★ Explorer Parts
Unwanted Guests 6 700 Parsteel, 75 Ship XP, 2 5 Minute Speed Up
Permanent Silence 8 40 Recruit Token, 100 Officer XP

The recommended level goes up by two with each step. The Parsteel matches the mission before it, and the next one switches to recruit tokens and Officer XP.

Tips

Do the 10 kills first. They come before the named fights in the objective list, and any hostile of level 6 or higher works. Pick the easiest targets near your station.

Do not overthink the named fights. With all three under 550 strength, the Nausicaans are light targets for a ship that has just cleared ten level 6 or higher hostiles.

Repair between fights if your hull is low. You are fighting close to home, so a quick repair between the second mercenary and Murrg keeps things safe.

Use the 5 Minute Speed Ups on early building upgrades, where short timers are common. More early missions sorted by level are on the mission guide.
