Undercut is a single Delta Quadrant mission in Star Trek Fleet Command, recommended for level 40. Tarnos of the Think Tank sends you to collect a debt from the Devore captain Turuch: five million isotons of crystal and a relic called the Kolyar Kanan. The relic has been stolen, and the trail leads somewhere unexpected. You pick it up at the Think Tank, need warp 26 to start and finish, and both endings pay a Tom Paris shard. The choice decides whether you also get 4★ Raw Crystal or 4★ Raw Ore.
Undercut objectives
The first five objectives are shared:
- Find Captain Turuch. Location: Eviloy.
- Interrogate the separatist. Location: Eviloy. Enemy strength about 3.6 million.
- Find the trading outpost. Location: Tolonus.
- Return to Tarnos. Location: Think Tank.
- Return to Captain Turuch. Location: Eviloy.
- Decide how to answer Captain Turuch (choice split, see below).
Turuch says the relic was stolen two days ago by separatists. Their ship’s logs point to a trading outpost in Tolonus, where a trader admits he sold the stone an hour after buying it, to Tarnos himself. Tarnos confirms he has it and wants to teach Turuch a lesson: he tells you to claim the relic was destroyed and demand three million more isotons of crystal, or a monthly payment if Turuch cannot cover it.
Path 1: tell him the truth
- Deliver the resources to Tarnos. Location: Think Tank.
You tell Turuch that Tarnos already has the relic. Turuch sends only the agreed crystal, arguing that the relic is already with Tarnos, and you remind Tarnos you are a messenger, not a hired gun. Rewards: 1 Tom Paris shard, 1,000 Ship XP, 31,000 4★ Raw Crystal.
Path 2: follow Tarnos’s instructions
- Deliver the resources to Tarnos. Location: Think Tank.
You tell Turuch the relic was destroyed. He cannot afford more crystal, so he agrees to a monthly delivery instead, and Tarnos thanks you. Rewards: 1 Tom Paris shard, 31,000 4★ Raw Ore, 2,800 Ultra Recruit Tokens.
Where and what warp
You pick up the mission at the Think Tank. Both the start and the finish need warp 26, so if you can reach the Think Tank you can complete every step. The route bounces between Eviloy, Tolonus and the Think Tank. The recommended level is 40.
The separatist interrogation in Eviloy, at about 3.6 million strength, is the only fight.

Tips
Following Tarnos pays more in total. Both paths give the Tom Paris shard and 31,000 of a 4★ raw resource, but Path 2 adds 2,800 Ultra Recruit Tokens while Path 1 adds only 1,000 Ship XP. Pick Path 1 if you want the Raw Crystal or prefer the honest ending.
Plan for back-and-forth travel. You visit Eviloy twice and the Think Tank twice, so a ship based close to the Think Tank saves time.
