The Trinity Council

The Trinity Council is a late story mission in Star Trek Fleet Command. You answer an anonymous transmission, prove your strength to a group called the Trinity Council, and pay a large Dilithium donation to join their ranks. It is picked up in Alea at warp 120 and needs warp 130 to complete. The game lists a recommended level of 1, but the level 45 kill requirement and warp 120 start set the real bar. The reward is 240 4★ Uncommon Explorer Parts and 240 4★ Uncommon Battleship Parts, and finishing it unlocks Acquisitions.

The Trinity Council objectives

The story line asks you to establish contact with the Trinity Council and prove your worth to join their ranks. There are four objectives and no choice split:

  • Investigate the coordinates provided in the anonymous transmission. Location: X5-TKV.
  • Defeat 15 hostiles of Level 45 or higher.
  • Prove your might to the Council by destroying their Drone ship. Location: X5-TKV.
  • Donate 4M Dilithium to the Trinity Council.

The kill objective does not name a system, so any hostile of level 45 or higher counts. The Drone ship is the one scripted fight, and it waits back in X5-TKV. The mission then closes with the 4 million Dilithium donation.

Where and what warp

The pickup system is Alea, and the mission lists warp 120 to start. Completing it takes warp 130, so check your ship can make that jump before committing.

The recommended level is listed as 1. In practice the warp 120 pickup, the level 45 hostiles and a 4 million Dilithium bill mean this is a late-game mission.

The Trinity Council rewards

Reward Amount
4★ Uncommon Explorer Parts 240
4★ Uncommon Battleship Parts 240

Completing the mission also unlocks the next mission, Acquisitions.

Where to find level 45 hostiles near the mission

Current hostile data shows level 45 or higher hostiles in both systems this mission uses, so the kill objective can be finished close to the route:

System Hostile Levels 45 and up
X5-TKV Reckless Bandit 45–47
Alea Federation Patrol 45–48
Alea Federation Peacekeeper 45–47
Alea Federation Trader 45–48

X5-TKV is where you already need to be for the first and third objectives, so hunting Reckless Bandits there keeps the whole mission in one place. The Federation hostiles in Alea are an option if you want to start the kills before flying out.

What the donation means for your plans

The 4M Dilithium donation is the step most likely to stall the mission. Unlike the fights, it cannot be solved with a stronger ship. If your stockpile is short, finish the kills and the Drone ship first, then top up the Dilithium before you donate.

The Trinity Council storyline continues elsewhere. Plans Within Plans is another mission about the council, where you uncover the truth regarding its intentions and fight three named enemies in Kayla, each with more than 8 million strength.

Tips

Check your Dilithium before you accept. Four million is a large sum, and holding it in reserve while you fight means your research and upgrades may wait.

Bring a combat ship built for level 45 targets. Fifteen kills plus the Drone ship is a long run at this level, so plan a repair stop.

The 480 ship parts are split evenly between Explorer and Battleship, so this mission suits players who run both hull types. Other missions are listed on the mission guide.
