The Empire Calls III is the third mission in the KSG’s Empire Calls series in Star Trek Fleet Command. You defend KSG space in tlhuHwI’, defeat an attacker and Captain Kurel, then regroup in Zameda. It starts at warp 1 after The Empire Calls II and needs warp 255 to complete, the shortest range in the series. The reward is 81,000,000 Tritanium and four 5★ Uncommon Interceptor Parts, and finishing it unlocks The Empire Calls IV.
The Empire Calls III objectives
The story line is simple: defend KSG space. There are four objectives and no choice split:
- Defend KSG Space. Location: tlhuHwI’.
- Defeat the attacker. Location: tlhuHwI’. Enemy strength around 37.2 million.
- Defeat Captain Kurel. Location: tlhuHwI’. Enemy strength around 38.3 million.
- Regroup. Location: Zameda.
The fighting all happens in tlhuHwI’. Captain Kurel is the strongest enemy in this mission and comes straight after the first attacker. Zameda is a travel step to close things out.
Where and what warp
There is no pickup system. The mission opens at warp 1 once The Empire Calls II is complete, and warp 255 is enough to reach tlhuHwI’ and Zameda. That is lower than the warp 400 the first two missions ask for.
The recommended level is listed as 1, which is not a useful guide here. Two enemies at around 37 to 38 million strength are the real test of whether your ship is ready.

How it compares with the rest of the series
| Mission | Warp to complete | Main rewards | Klingon Points |
|---|---|---|---|
| The Empire Calls I | 400 | 4 5★ Uncommon Interceptor Parts, 1 KSG Datapad | 3,600,000 |
| The Empire Calls II | 400 | 81,000,000 Tritanium, 10 1M Dilithium Tokens | 3,600,000 |
| The Empire Calls III | 255 | 81,000,000 Tritanium, 4 5★ Uncommon Interceptor Parts | 3,600,000 |
| The Empire Calls IV | 440 | 20 1B Parsteel Tokens plus a path reward | 5,200,000 |
| The Empire Calls V | 320 | 4,550,000,000 Parsteel, 4 5★ Uncommon Interceptor Parts | 5,200,000 |
Every mission in the series also pays 800 Klingon Credits and takes away Romulan Points, from 7,387,200 in the first three to 11,044,800 in the last two.
Part III matches Part II on Tritanium and adds the same Interceptor Parts that Part I and Part V pay. It is also the cheapest part to reach, at warp 255.
Tips
Captain Kurel is the fight to prepare for. He is slightly stronger than the attacker before him, and there is no break between the two, so go in at full health.
The four 5★ Uncommon Interceptor Parts are useful only if you are building an interceptor that uses them, but the 81,000,000 Tritanium is useful to almost everyone at this stage.
The Empire Calls IV has a choice split with two very different routes, so read ahead before you finish this part. Other missions by level are on the mission guide.
