Subversion is a Klingon faction mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you smuggle a secret agent, Lezrik, out of Nausicaa and back to the Empire without being seen. It is picked up in Mempa and needs warp 39 to start and to complete, and the game lists a recommended level of 1. A bounty hunter stands in the way, and you either bribe it with 50,000 Dilithium or destroy it in a fight at roughly 1.39 million strength. Both paths pay 500 Klingon Credits and 100,000 Klingon Points.
Subversion objectives
Both paths start the same way:
- Extract Lezrik from Nausicaa Prime. Location: Nausicaa.
- How will you get the secret agent out of Nausicaa?
Your answer decides how you deal with the bounty hunter.
Bribe the Bounty Hunter
- Pay the Bounty Hunter 50,000 Dilithium.
- Take Lezrik safely to Khitomer. Location: Khitomer.
Take the Bounty Hunter out
- Destroy the Independent Bounty Hunter. Location: Nausicaa. Enemy strength is roughly 1,385,777.
- Take Lezrik safely to Khitomer. Location: Khitomer.
Either way the mission ends with Lezrik delivered to Khitomer. The only difference is whether you pay or fight to get there.
Where and what warp
The mission is picked up in Mempa. Warp 39 is needed both to start and to complete it.
The game lists a recommended level of 1. On the fighting path, the bounty hunter at around 1.39 million strength is far above what that suggests, so the bribe path is the one that works for weaker ships.

Which path to take
The bribe costs 50,000 Dilithium and pays 450 Premium Recruit Tokens. It also costs 22,800 Federation Points, a penalty the fighting path does not carry. There is no combat at all on this side.
Taking the bounty hunter out costs no resources, but you have to win a fight against a 1.39 million strength ship. The reward is much larger in raw materials: 2.45 million Tritanium and 270 3★ Interceptor Parts.
Both paths give the same Klingon Credits and Klingon Points and lose the same Romulan standing, so faction progress with the Klingons is identical.
If your ship can win the fight, taking the bounty hunter out is the better deal, since it pays more in materials and avoids both the Dilithium cost and the Federation penalty. If it cannot, the bribe gets the same Klingon progress without the risk.
Tips
Check your Federation standing before bribing. The -22,800 Federation Points only apply on the bribe path.
If you plan to fight, repair fully before extracting Lezrik. The bounty hunter comes right after the extraction in the same system.
