Stiff Upper Lip is a single Deep Space Nine holosuite mission in Star Trek Fleet Command, recommended for level 20. Bashir and O’Brien invite you into their Battle of London program in one of Quark’s holosuites, and O’Brien finds it has gone stale. Your AI boosts the simulation, and it works a little too well. You pick it up at Bajor, need warp 25 to start and finish, and earn 4,000 Ship XP and 24,000 Tritanium.
Stiff Upper Lip objectives
There are five objectives and no choice split:
- Join O’Brien and Bashir for a Holodeck simulation. Location: Bajor.
- Use 5,000 Dilithium to boost the Holodeck’s refractor diodes.
- Investigate the new environment. Location: Bajor.
- Defeat 12 hostiles of level 20 or higher.
- Exit the simulation. Location: Bajor.
The program puts the three of you in the last line of defence over London. O’Brien complains that the danger has gone out of it, so Bashir suggests hooking your AI into the holosuite to push the refractor diodes and the program’s limits, for about 5,000 Dilithium. The diodes hit 164% efficiency, the enemy fighters start flying like real pilots, and wave after wave comes in. Their old wingman Clive goes down again, and Bashir suggests the Alamo next time.
Where and what warp
You pick up the mission at Bajor, and both the start and the finish need warp 25. Every located objective is at Bajor, so there is no further travel once you are there. The recommended level is 20.
The twelve hostiles of level 20 or higher are the only combat. No named enemy or strength is listed.
Stiff Upper Lip rewards
| Reward | Amount |
|---|---|
| Ship XP | 4,000 |
| Tritanium | 24,000 |
Other Bajor pickups at this level
| Mission | Recommended level | Warp | Main cost or fight | Rewards |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Stiff Upper Lip | 20 | 25 | 5,000 Dilithium, 12 hostiles | 4,000 Ship XP, 24,000 Tritanium |
| How Little We Know | 20 | 25 | One vessel at about 18,400 | 3 1 Hour Repair Speed Ups, 60,000 Parsteel |
Both are Deep Space Nine missions picked up at Bajor at the same warp, so they are easy to run on one trip.
Tips
Bring the Dilithium. The 5,000 boost is the second objective, and the simulation does not change until you pay it.
Stay at Bajor for the twelve kills. Everything else happens there, so there is no reason to leave before the count is done.
This is a light mission best run alongside other Bajor business. Other Deep Space Nine missions are on the Deep Space Nine arc page, and every mission by level is on the mission guide.
