Small Favor is an early mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you rescue a Rigellian captain who has crash landed his freighter. The recommended level is 2, and it needs only warp 1 to start and to complete. After you find the crash site you choose how to help the crew: treat the wounded at your station for Next Gen Crusher shards, or head back to your station for Next Gen Data shards. Both paths also give 50 Officer XP, and either one unlocks Crewing Up.
Small Favor objectives
The shared part of the mission has two objectives:
- Find the Rigellian crash site.
- Choose how to save the Rigellian.
The second step is a choice split. The in-game prompt asks how you will help the crew, and each answer leads to one objective and one officer.
Path 1: treat the wounded
- Treat the wounded at your Station.
Rewards: 3 Next Gen Crusher shards, 50 Officer XP.
Path 2: return to your station
- Return to your Station.
Rewards: 3 Next Gen Data shards, 50 Officer XP.
Both paths end at your station, and neither has a fight. The only thing the choice changes is which officer’s shards you receive.
Where and what warp
Small Favor needs warp 1 to start and warp 1 to complete. The mission data gives no system for the crash site and no pickup system, and both endings are at your station. The recommended level is 2.
The mission before this one is Intervention.
Small Favor rewards
| Path | Officer shards | Officer XP |
|---|---|---|
| Treat the wounded at your Station | 3 Next Gen Crusher | 50 |
| Return to your Station | 3 Next Gen Data | 50 |
Completing either path unlocks the next mission, Crewing Up.
Crusher or Data?
Both officers are common rarity Federation officers in the game data, and both list 3 shards as the requirement for rank 1. So whichever path you take, the 3 shards from Small Favor match the rank 1 figure for that officer.
The two differ in their base stats at level 1. Next Gen Crusher starts at 6 attack, 6 defense and 12 health, leaning toward health. Next Gen Data starts at 10 attack, 10 defense and 4 health, leaning toward attack and defense. Rank 2 then asks for 9 Crusher shards or 12 Data shards, so Crusher is the cheaper of the two to push to the next rank.
The officer pages linked above cover each officer’s abilities in full.
Tips
Decide which officer you want before you reach the choice. The Officer XP is the same on both sides, so the shards are the whole decision.
If you are building toward a specific crew, pick the officer who fits it. If you have no plan yet, Crusher’s lower rank 2 shard count makes her the easier one to grow, while Data’s higher attack and defense suit a player who wants stronger base stats from the start.
There is little to prepare. The mission has no fight and no donation, and it needs only warp 1 to complete. For every other mission by level, see the mission guide.
