Sightings is the first mission in a five-part Discovery storyline in Star Trek Fleet Command, recommended for level 40. Lt. Commander Campbell of the USS Fairbanks invites you to a private Starfleet briefing and asks about sightings of a decommissioned Crossfield class ship near your station. That ship is the USS Discovery, and you go to warn its crew. The mission starts at warp 1, needs warp 56 to complete, and pays 48,267,000 Parsteel and seven 1 Day Speed Ups. It has no fights, only a Dilithium donation.
Sightings objectives
There are four objectives and no choice split:
- Attend the Starfleet briefing on Bolarus. Location: Bolarus.
- Rendezvous with the USS Discovery in Livi. Location: Livi.
- Donate 750,000 Dilithium to fuel the warp drive of the USS Discovery.
- Return to your Station.
Campbell prefers not to talk over subspace and meets you at the Starfleet outpost on Bolarus. He explains that Starfleet has decommissioned the Crossfield class and suspects someone has taken one, perhaps to sell to an Independent like you. You find Discovery in Livi and tell Saru that Starfleet believes the ship is stolen. The crew needs Dilithium to get back to your station, and once home Stamets explains why the stakes are so high: if they meet this reality’s Discovery, or another Paul Stamets, the space-time continuum could be at risk. They need to stay hidden, and he has an idea.
Where and what warp
No pickup system is listed and the mission starts at warp 1. You need warp 56 to complete it, for the trips to Bolarus and Livi. The recommended level is 40.
There is no combat anywhere in the mission. The only cost is the 750,000 Dilithium donation in Livi.

Sightings has the highest warp of the five and the only one with no fight. It also pays the most Parsteel and the only 1 Day Speed Ups in the set.
Tips
Have the Dilithium ready before Livi. The 750,000 donation is the one thing that can stall this mission, and it sits in the middle of the objectives.
Any ship works. With no hostiles to fight, send whichever ship reaches warp 56 most easily, or a mining ship you are not using.
