Ship Hangar Level 42 is a late-game station mission in Star Trek Fleet Command with one objective: upgrade your Ship Hangar to level 42. It needs only warp 1 to start and finish, and the game lists a recommended level of 1, so the upgrade is the whole job. The reward is 7,875,000 Tritanium and eight 1M Tritanium Tokens, and completing it unlocks the next station mission. The upgrade behind it is one of the heavier builds at this stage, so the mission is mostly a partial refund.
Ship Hangar Level 42 objectives
There is one objective and no choice split:
- Upgrade to Ship Hangar Level 42.
No system, hostile or donation is involved. The mission completes when the Ship Hangar reaches level 42. The game describes the hangar as the place where extra ships are stored when they are not in the active fleet, and upgrading it raises how many ships you can own.
Where and what warp
Warp 1 to start, warp 1 to complete, no pickup system. Everything happens on your station.
The recommended level is listed as 1, but the upgrade needs Operations 42, so in practice this is a mission for level 42 stations.

Level 42 is the odd one out in this range. It is the only one of the three that asks for 4★ Rare Refined Crystal, and the only one with an Armada Control Center requirement. The 7,875,000 Tritanium reward is about 6% of the 128.1 million Tritanium the upgrade costs.

The pattern is steady: each of these missions pays a Tritanium amount ending in 875,000 plus a matching stack of 1M tokens. Level 42 is the smallest of the three.
Tips
Get Armada Control Center to level 30 early. It is a requirement here that the neighbouring hangar levels do not have, and it is easy to overlook until the upgrade button stays locked.
Collect 4★ Rare Refined Crystal before you plan this upgrade. You need 1,500, and it is the one resource on the list that the level 41 upgrade did not prepare you for.
