Razor is a standalone combat mission in Star Trek Fleet Command, picked up in Deneva, where you run an Arkonian battle simulation against the swarms of Pakled ships in the system. The single objective is to defeat 10 hostiles of level 15 or higher. It needs warp 11, lists a recommended level of 1, and pays a Next Gen Data shard and an Energy Manifold. The manifold makes it one of the missions that count toward Scouring Space.

Razor objectives

One objective, no choice split:

  • Defeat 10 Hostiles of Level 15 or higher.

The story points you at the Pakled swarms in Deneva, but the objective itself names no system or specific enemy. Any hostile of level 15 or above counts.

Where and what warp

Razor is picked up in Deneva and needs warp 11 to start and to finish. The recommended level is listed as 1, but the level 15 hostile requirement is the practical bar: your ship needs to beat level 15 targets ten times.

Razor rewards

Reward Amount
Next Gen Data shards 1
Energy Manifold 1

Razor does not unlock another mission.

Razor and Scouring Space

The level 14 story mission Scouring Space asks you to collect 4 Energy Manifolds from missions in Deneva. Razor is one of five Deneva pickups that pay one:

Mission What you do Other reward
Razor Defeat 10 hostiles of level 15 or higher 1 Next Gen Data shard
Distant Suns Mine 700 Dilithium 8,000 Parsteel
Lurker Defeat the Deneva Lurker 3 1★ Survey Parts
Neural Network Go to Rigel V, then Deneva 5,000 Parsteel, 30 1★ Survey Parts
Salvage Operation Recover a Klingon data core An officer shard that depends on your chosen faction

You only need four of the five, and Razor is the only one that pays a Next Gen Data shard. All five start at warp 11, so they fit into a single trip to Deneva.

Other missions that pay Next Gen Data shards

Rite of Passage, picked up in Nausicaa at warp 8, pays one shard for clearing 6 hostiles in the Nausicaan Crucible. Quarantine, a story mission about the Anguish Virus, pays one alongside Parsteel and Officer XP.

Tips

Pick hostiles right at level 15. Higher-level targets count the same but take longer to beat.

Repair when you drop low. Ten fights is enough to wear a ship down, and a lost fight costs more time than a quick repair. The mission guide lists every mission by level.
