Neural Network is a short Star Trek Fleet Command mission in which you collect experimental cortical stimulator tech from Rigel V and bring it back to Deneva. It is picked up in Deneva and needs warp 11 to start and to finish. The game lists a recommended level of 1. There is no combat and nothing to donate. The reward is 5,000 Parsteel, 30 1★ Survey Parts and an Energy Manifold. It is a simple delivery run that pays a little extra for a trip you may already be making.
Neural Network objectives
There are two objectives and no choice split:
You fly to Rigel V to collect the cortical stimulator tech, then bring it back to Deneva, where the mission started. Both steps are pure travel, with no enemy listed at either stop.
Where and what warp
Neural Network is picked up in Deneva and needs warp 11 to start and warp 11 to complete. The only other system involved is Rigel.
With no fight in the mission, a ship that can reach Deneva and Rigel at warp 11 is all you need. There is no donation either, so the trip costs nothing but time.
Neural Network rewards
| Reward | Amount |
|---|---|
| Parsteel | 5,000 |
| 1★ Survey Parts | 30 |
| Energy Manifold | 1 |
Neural Network does not unlock a follow-up mission.
Other missions from Deneva
Deneva is the pickup system for several level 1 missions, and each one pays an Energy Manifold:
| Mission | Warp to complete | Rewards |
|---|---|---|
| Neural Network | 11 | 5,000 Parsteel, 30 1★ Survey Parts, 1 Energy Manifold |
| Distant Suns | 11 | 8,000 Parsteel, 1 Energy Manifold |
| Lurker | 11 | 3 1★ Survey Parts, 1 Energy Manifold |
| Razor | 11 | 1 Next Gen Data shard, 1 Energy Manifold |
| Salvage Operation | 13 | 1 Hikaru Sulu shard, 250 Federation Points, 1 Energy Manifold |
Neural Network pays the most Survey Parts of the group by a wide margin: 30, against 3 for Lurker. Distant Suns pays more Parsteel, and Razor and Salvage Operation pay officer shards instead.
Tips
Since there is no combat, any ship with the range can run it, including a survey ship. The 30 1★ Survey Parts go straight back into that kind of hull, which makes Neural Network a good fit for players building up their first survey ships.
Neural Network is also the lowest-effort manifold in Deneva. It asks for two trips and nothing else, while Lurker, for example, requires beating the Deneva Lurker at about 11,529 strength for its manifold.
If you are collecting Energy Manifolds, work through the Deneva missions together. They share a pickup system and nearly the same warp, and each pays a manifold.
