Protocol Origin: Epilogue is the level 61 mission in Star Trek Fleet Command that closes the Protocol Origin story, with you and Trelane sealing the temporal rift once every timeline has been restored. It starts at warp 1 and needs warp 25 to complete, because the first stop is Ferenginar. You pay 25,000 6★ Raw Crystal for a deflector dish and fight one scavenger ship of about 2.2 billion strength. The rewards are two Trelane shards, Trelane’s Medals, 177,000 Officer XP and four 12 Hr Peace Shields.
Protocol Origin: Epilogue objectives
Protocol Origin reports no more anomalies from the time vortex, and Trelane is ready to tidy up. He cannot simply snap the rift shut without his father noticing, so he suggests an old Starfleet trick: an anti-tachyon pulse from a ship’s deflector dish. None of your ships has the right dish, but Trelane knows a Ferengi scrapper who might.
- Acquire a deflector dish upgrade from Ferenginar. Location: Ferenginar.
- Pay 25K 6★ Raw Crystal for the deflector dish upgrade.
- Approach the temporal rift.
- Buy time to seal the temporal rift. Enemy strength is roughly 2,222,048,490.
- Return to your Station.
Trelane tells the trader you will pay whatever it costs, and the price ends up at 25,000 6★ Raw Crystal. At the rift a scavenger ship arrives, and Maia finds a tracking device hidden on the new dish, so the Ferengi has been selling out his own customers. You hold the scavenger off while the pulse charges, the pulse seals the rift, and back at your station Trelane’s father is waiting for him. There is no choice split.
Where and what warp
The game lists warp 1 to start and warp 25 to complete. Ferenginar is the only named system, and the warp 25 requirement comes from that trip. The rift itself and the final step at your station have no system listed. The recommended level is 61.
Protocol Origin: Epilogue rewards
| Reward | Amount |
|---|---|
| Trelane shards | 2 |
| Trelane’s Medals | 1 |
| Officer XP | 177,000 |
| 12 Hr Peace Shield | 4 |
Protocol Origin: Epilogue does not list a follow-up mission.
Prologue and Epilogue compared
The Prologue opens the story with Trelane’s arrival and the Epilogue ends it. Both are level 61, both pay four 12 Hr Peace Shields, and both end back at your station.
| Mission | Warp to complete | Fights | Cost | Rewards |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Protocol Origin: Prologue | 1 | Freedom-class, Romulan ship, Klingon Bird-of-Prey (about 2.1 to 2.2 billion each) | None | 2 Toryn shards, 500,000 Ship XP, 4 12 Hr Peace Shields |
| Protocol Origin: Epilogue | 25 | One scavenger ship (about 2.2 billion) | 25,000 6★ Raw Crystal | 2 Trelane shards, 1 Trelane’s Medals, 177,000 Officer XP, 4 12 Hr Peace Shields |
Between the two sit the five Protocol Origin timeline chains (Archer, Janeway, Kirk, Picard and Sisko), which Maia’s scan in the Prologue sets up. The Prologue pays Toryn shards; the Epilogue is the one to run for Trelane.
Tips
Have the 25,000 6★ Raw Crystal ready before you fly to Ferenginar. The payment is its own objective, and the rest of the mission waits on it.
Only one fight stands between you and the reward. The scavenger is listed at about 2.2 billion strength, the same as the Freedom-class in the Prologue, so if you cleared the Prologue with a ship, that ship is a sensible pick here too.
The 177,000 Officer XP is useful on its own, and it pairs well with the Trelane shards if you are building him up. More missions at this level are on the mission guide.
