Never Compromise, Never Blink is a level 62 Federation mission in Star Trek Fleet Command in which you scout a Klingon push on the border and end up choosing a side between Gowron and Sela. You pick it up in Triga-5 and need warp 1,000 to start and to finish; every objective is in Redreev. After two Borg fights you either assist the Romulans or assist the Klingons. The Romulan side pays 162,000 6★ Raw Crystal and 389,000 Raw Σ-Tritanium; the Klingon side pays nine 1 Hour Σ-Speed Ups and 389,000 Raw Σ-Parsteel.
Never Compromise, Never Blink objectives
A Starfleet contact with only five ships to hold the Frontier asks you to find out what Gowron is planning. The first four steps are the same for everyone:
- Investigate reports of violence between the Klingons and Romulans. Location: Redreev.
- Defeat the Borg Probe. Location: Redreev (enemy strength ~2,618,077,029).
- Defeat the Borg Sphere. Location: Redreev (enemy strength ~3,367,690,171).
- What should we do?
You find Gowron’s fleet already fighting the Borg, with Klingon debris across the system. The Borg target you too, and a Borg Sphere then tries to cut off your escape. Once it is destroyed, Sela’s warbirds decloak and surround the battered Klingon fleet, which refuses to break. Your officer notes that you could tip the battle either way.
Assist the Romulans
- Relieve the Romulan fleet. Location: Redreev (enemy strength ~3,367,690,171).
- Defend yourself against the Romulans. Location: Redreev (enemy strength ~4,014,144,528).
Your officer judges Gowron the bigger threat to Federation space, so you join the Romulans. Gowron escapes and swears revenge, and then Sela turns on you, seeing a chance to capture Admiral Johnson’s confidante. You have to fight your way out of her fleet as well.
Assist the Klingons
- Relieve the Klingon fleet. Location: Redreev (enemy strength ~3,367,690,171).
Here the reasoning is that the damaged Klingon fleet is little threat in its current state. You fight alongside Gowron, Sela withdraws, and Gowron spares you for now while promising that your next meeting will be on the battlefield.
Where and what warp
The mission is picked up in Triga-5 and needs warp 1,000 to start and to complete. Every objective takes place in Redreev, so after the first jump there is no more travel. The recommended level is 62.

Both paths pay 3,600 Federation Credits, 114,000,000 Federation Points, -254,448,000 Klingon Points and -56,544,000 Romulan Points. The rest depends on your choice:

All four pay the same Federation Credits and faction points. At 389,000, this mission pays the largest Raw Σ amount of the four on either path.
Tips
The Klingon side is the easier finish. It has one fight after the choice, while the Romulan side adds a second battle against Sela’s fleet at about 4.01 billion strength, the hardest fight in the mission.
Choose by reward, then check your ship. The Romulan side pays 6★ Crystal and Σ-Tritanium; the Klingon side pays speed ups and Σ-Parsteel. Neither choice changes the faction points, which stay the same on both paths even though the story has you fighting for Gowron or Sela.
