Naval Superiority

Naval Superiority is a Star Trek Fleet Command storyline mission in which you rescue innocent travellers from an Orion Slaver’s prison vessel. You find the slaver’s target system, Lipig, and defeat 5 hostiles of level 28 or higher. The game lists a recommended level of 1; it starts at warp 1 and needs warp 22 to finish. The reward is 1,000,000 Parsteel, and completing it unlocks Ghosts of Lies and Space. For two objectives, the Parsteel is a generous payout.

Naval Superiority objectives

There are two objectives and no choice split:

  • Find the Orion Slaver’s target system. Location: Lipig.
  • Defeat 5 hostiles of Level 28 or higher.

The first step takes you to Lipig. The 5 hostiles have no system attached, so any hostile at level 28 or above counts. There is no named boss ship and no return trip.

Where and what warp

Warp 1 to start and warp 22 to complete, with no pickup system. Lipig is the only named system.

The level 28 floor on the hostiles is the real requirement, so a ship that cannot beat level 28 targets will stall on the second objective.

Naval Superiority rewards

The only reward is 1,000,000 Parsteel. Completing Naval Superiority unlocks the next mission, Ghosts of Lies and Space.

Naval Superiority and the missions around it

Mission Warp to complete Story Rewards
Building Orders 23 Help an Independent colony rebuild after a devastating attack 10,000 Ship XP
Lost Worlds of Time and Space 1 Improve the Station to give Maia more power 2,000,000 Parsteel
Naval Superiority 22 Rescue travellers from an Orion Slaver’s prison vessel 1,000,000 Parsteel
Ghosts of Lies and Space 22 Rescue Toryn from his Orion captors 250,000 Parsteel
Burning Like the Cold 33 The Romulans have found a way to disable the Klingon Defense Grid Choice of 250,000 Parsteel with 50 3★ Uncommon Refined Gas or Crystal

Naval Superiority and Ghosts of Lies and Space both deal with Orion captors and both finish at warp 22. After them, Burning Like the Cold jumps to warp 33.

Tips

Clear the 5 hostiles near Lipig once you arrive. They can be anywhere, but you are already in the area after the first objective, and staying put saves a trip.

Pick targets close to level 28. Higher-level hostiles count the same, but they take longer to beat and cost more repair time.

The million Parsteel is four times what Ghosts of Lies and Space pays next, so this is the better of the two Orion rescue missions for resources.

The wider story order is on the main storyline missions page. Previous mission: Lost Worlds of Time and Space. Next mission: Ghosts of Lies and Space. More missions are on the mission guide.
