The Krencha is a grade 6 Epic Interceptor for the Klingon faction, built as a fast strike ship rather than a miner or survey vessel. Its Disintegrate ability ramps up energy weapon damage against any target that already has Hull Breach, so it rewards a crew that can crack enemy defenses early. You build it at Shipyard level 70. For Klingon players working deep into the grade 6 tier, it is a strong offensive interceptor.

How to get the Krencha

Building the Krencha takes 650 blueprints and a Shipyard at level 70. The build cost is 1,300 Σ-Dilithium, 148,800 Σ-Tritanium, 730 6★ Common Refined Gas, and 2,900 6★ Common Refined Crystal, and the build itself runs for 67 days once you start it. The game data gives the requirement and cost but not where the blueprints come from, so that part depends on whatever in-game offers are running when you decide to chase it.

Krencha ability

The Krencha’s ship ability is Disintegrate. As long as the opponent has Hull Breach, the ship increases its Energy Weapon Damage by a percentage of base each time its Disintegrator hits, and that bonus stacks through the fight. The value starts at 2,180% at ship level 1 and climbs to 2,360% at level 90. Ship abilities are always active, so this runs on its own with no button to press. In play, the Krencha wants the target under Hull Breach as early as possible, because every energy hit after that compounds the damage.

Krencha active ability

The Krencha also carries player-facing abilities that you unlock through its refit track. Ship Cloaking hides the ship until the cloak’s duration ends or you enter combat, start mining, or dock at a station, which lets you reposition or slip past a fight. Unwavering Diligence increases the ship’s Isolytic Damage against all enemies, scaling by tier from 40% at Tier 9 up to 70% at Tier 18. Both sit apart from the always-on Disintegrate ability and come online through refits rather than at build.

Stats and tiers

Base values from the current game data; research, buffs and officers raise them in play.

Weapons and firing pattern

Warm-up is the combat round a weapon first fires; cool-down is the number of rounds between shots after that.

Weapon Type Shots Warm-up Cool-down Damage Crit chance Crit damage
Weapon 1 Kinetic 2 6 3 11,493,794–14,047,956 10% 150%
Weapon 2 Kinetic 2 5 4 15,134,981–18,498,288 10% 150%
Weapon 3 Kinetic 1 2 2 8,423,730–10,295,675 10% 150%
Weapon 4 Kinetic 1 1 2 7,704,243–9,416,303 10% 150%
Weapon 5 Energy 1 2 1 8,684,223–10,614,054 10% 150%

Weapon 5 is the ship’s only energy weapon, so it is the one the Disintegrate ability feeds as the fight goes on.

Krencha refits

Refits unlock with ship shards and open up the Krencha’s extra abilities and stat boosts. Each of the refits below costs 120 shards.

Refit What it does
Krencha Gold Refit Increases the Disintegrate ability by 450% of base.
Krencha Unwavering Diligence Unlocks the Unwavering Diligence ability (Isolytic Damage, 40% at Tier 9 up to 70% at Tier 18). Requires a Tier 9 Krencha.
Krencha Cloaking Enables cloaking for the Krencha and increases base weapon damage by 700%.
Hijacked TOS Krencha Unlocks the Hijacked refit skin for the ship.
Krencha Simulacrum Increases Critical Mitigation against players by 500 and against Academy Training Drones by 40,000 at the start of combat. Every 500 Critical Mitigation raises the critical damage you can take by 1%.

Crew for the Krencha

The Krencha is a combat interceptor whose damage depends on the target already carrying Hull Breach, so its bridge wants officers who apply or exploit Hull Breach and who push energy weapon damage and critical hits. Because the Disintegrate ramp only feeds the ship’s single energy weapon, a crew that boosts energy damage and lands hits reliably gets the most out of it. For current top picks, check our Officer Tier List, and keep in mind that the best crew shifts as the game’s meta changes.

The Krencha in Star Trek

The Krencha is an original design created for Star Trek Fleet Command, not a ship from any series or film. Its story comes from the game itself. The in-game description says the ship is named for a deadly reptilian species on the Klingon homeworld and was designed during the Dominion War as the Empire’s answer to Jem’Hadar warships, which had outpaced the older D4 and Bortas classes on speed and firepower. The Dominion War and the Jem’Hadar are Star Trek canon from Deep Space Nine, but the Krencha vessel itself is the game’s own creation set against that backdrop, built as a fast hit-and-run striker for the Klingon fleet.

Is the Krencha worth it?

For Klingon players working through the grade 6 tier, the Krencha is a strong offensive interceptor. Its Disintegrate ability and heavy kinetic weapon array make it a hard hitter once a target is under Hull Breach, and the refit track adds cloaking and an Isolytic Damage boost on top. The 650 blueprints and Shipyard level 70 requirement put it firmly in the late game, so it suits established commanders who want a dedicated Klingon strike ship rather than newer players still building out their yard.
