Illogical Behaviour is a Star Trek Fleet Command story mission where you meet up with the USS Enterprise in Kildare. Spock goes across to meet Kirk, you donate Dilithium to Scotty, defeat a rogue Starfleet vessel and then bring Spock back to your station. The mission starts at warp 1 and needs warp 75 to complete. The reward is 110 4★ Uncommon Refined Crystal and 110 4★ Uncommon Refined Gas, but the 1,475,000 Dilithium donation is the cost to plan around.
Illogical Behaviour objectives
There are five objectives and no choice split:
- Meet with the Enterprise. Location: Kildare.
- Send Spock to meet Kirk. Location: Kildare.
- Donate 1,475,000 Dilithium to Scotty.
- Defeat the rogue Starfleet vessel. Location: Kildare (enemy strength about 912,580).
- Return Spock to your Station.
Most of the mission happens in Kildare. After the meeting with the Enterprise and Spock’s visit to Kirk, Scotty needs 1,475,000 Dilithium. The fight comes next: a rogue Starfleet vessel at roughly 912,580 strength. With that done, you take Spock home to your station to finish.
Where and what warp
Illogical Behaviour has no pickup system and starts at warp 1. It needs warp 75 to complete, and Kildare is the only system named in the objectives.
The game lists a recommended level of 1. The actual requirements are warp 75, a fight at over 900,000 strength and nearly 1.5 million Dilithium in the bank.

Illogical Behaviour and neighbouring missions
Before this mission comes Bloodthirst, where you investigate Klingon space for evidence of Vulcan attacks. After it comes Absolute Power, where you discover the origins of the Ah’rak Fosh.

Absolute Power pays back more than twice the Dilithium you donate here, so the cost in Illogical Behaviour is recovered one mission later, provided your ship can reach warp 100.
Tips
Stockpile the Dilithium before you start. The donation to Scotty sits in the middle of the objective list, and the mission cannot move on to the fight until it is paid.
Bring a combat ship to Kildare. The rogue Starfleet vessel is the only fight, but at about 912,580 strength it is a real one.
