Ganmadan Sentinel

The Ganmadan Sentinel is a high-level Romulan hostile in Star Trek Fleet Command, found roaming Romulan space between levels 70 and 80. It only spawns as a Battleship, so an Interceptor is the ship to bring. Defeating it drops 7-star Broken Battleship and Survey parts along with Federation and Klingon reputation, and its warp requirement climbs from 1,550 at level 70 to 6,000 at level 80.

How to beat the Ganmadan Sentinel

The Ganmadan Sentinel only appears as a Battleship, so the counter is simple: bring an Interceptor. Interceptors beat Battleships in the hull triangle, which means a well-built Interceptor at the right tier deals the most damage while taking the least in return. Nothing changes between levels here, the same class works from level 70 all the way to 80.

Two abilities run on this ship at all times. Something to Prove raises its Isolytic Damage steeply, from roughly 3,950% at level 70 to more than 39,000% at level 80, and it shreds part of your Apex Barrier the moment combat starts. Double Down adds Apex Barrier and Isolytic Defense to the Sentinel and keeps its Critical Damage from dropping below 100%. In practice it hits hard with Isolytic damage and protects its own defenses, so bring solid Isolytic mitigation and aim to end the fight fast rather than trading blows for long.

For crew, seat a captain that boosts weapon damage against hostiles and fill the other slots with officers that add damage or mitigation. This is endgame content, so the early cadet crew (Cadet Kirk as captain with Cadet Spock and Cadet Uhura) is far too weak to bring here. For current picks, see the Officer Tier List, and remember the best crews shift as the meta changes. Because the Sentinel leans on Isolytic damage rather than a quick burst, plan for a few rounds of repairs between kills and start on the lowest level your ship can clear cleanly before working up.

Where to find the Ganmadan Sentinel

The Sentinel clusters in Romulan systems, with the lower levels sitting around warp 1,550 to 2,100 and the higher levels pushing out to warp 6,000. Each level tends to hold its own set of systems, so match the level you can handle to the warp range your ship can reach. The table below lists every level that currently spawns, along with the systems where it shows up.

Level Warp Systems
70 1,550 Alvolea, Igniotera, Uyama
71 1,550 Almeophus, Bonoxug, Donrunei, Invarvis, Kagreita, Kúshlah, Myrnum, Olmihn, Pobal-K, Vagerux, Ved, Xaporila
72 1,600 Bulnoth, Kyampram, Lahinch, Lathulia, Muirnia, Pepen, Soltzar, Ulvoran, Yphuma, Zofitis
73 2,100 Alriahin, Boh’Sunya, Ivundia, Lu’Theria, Thuyetera, Xagnora
74 3,000 Culviara, Morrigan’s Embrace, Seh’Lei, Yoavrei, Zetehrn
75 3,500 Navanther, Rey’Kyav, Sapzun, Sodonus
76 4,000 Nabireia, Sebireia, Vaxiish
77 4,500 Nohrinia, Xalnesh, Ycarsur

80 6,000 Hodozia, Sotunei, Strizhia, Tohlio, Trohmera, Zephrisia

Rewards and what it drops

The Ganmadan Sentinel pays out top-tier ship parts and faction reputation. Because it flies under the Romulan flag, attacking it lowers your Romulan standing while raising Federation and Klingon reputation, so weigh that against your faction plans before grinding it. Ship XP also climbs with level, from 51,800 at level 70 to 118,500 at level 80.

Drop What it is
7★ Broken Battleship Parts Top-tier parts used to build and upgrade 7-star Battleships
7★ Broken Survey Parts Top-tier parts used to build and upgrade 7-star Survey ships
Federation Points Federation reputation, which raises your standing with the Federation
Klingon Points Klingon reputation, which raises your standing with the Klingons
Romulan Points Romulan reputation. This is a Romulan target, so attacking it reduces your Romulan standing

Ganmadan Sentinel stats

Stats climb steeply with level, so the gap between level 70 and level 80 is enormous. These anchor rows show the low, mid, and high ends.

Ganmadan Sentinel firing pattern

The Sentinel carries two weapon groups. Its Energy weapons fire every round for steady pressure, while its far heavier Kinetic weapons fire every other round and land the biggest hits. Time your shield or hull recovery around the Kinetic volley, since that is where most of the damage comes from.

Weapon type Count Damage per shot Fires Crit
Energy 2 200,803,007–235,725,269 Every round 10% (1.5x)
Kinetic 2 1,204,818,040–1,414,351,612 Every other round 10% (1.5x)

The Romulans in Star Trek

The Romulans are one of the Alpha Quadrant’s major powers, an ancient offshoot of Vulcans who rejected Surak’s path of pure logic and left to build their own empire. Ruled for centuries by a Senate and watched over by the secretive Tal Shiar, they favor cunning, misdirection, and cloaked warbirds over open confrontation. The Federation first met them in the original series episode “Balance of Terror,” and they returned as a recurring rival across The Next Generation and later shows. In Star Trek Fleet Command, Romulan space and its ships, including targets like the Ganmadan Sentinel, sit at the higher end of the galaxy map.

Is the Ganmadan Sentinel worth grinding?

For endgame players who need 7-star Battleship or Survey parts, the Ganmadan Sentinel is a steady source, and the Federation and Klingon reputation is a bonus if you want to lift those factions. The catch is the Romulan reputation it costs you, so only farm it if you can spare that standing. Match your warp to the level you are hitting, bring an Interceptor to counter the Battleship hull, and lean on Isolytic mitigation to ride out its opening ability.
