Duplicity is a level 66 mission in Star Trek Fleet Command, picked up in Biba. Ambassador Shaki has been murdered just as her people, the Vekaz, were negotiating peace with their old enemies the Zexil, and everyone blames a Zexil assassin. You look into it and find the truth closer to home. The mission needs warp 1300 to start and to complete, includes one fight, and pays 296,000 Raw Σ-Tritanium and 720,000,000 Dilithium. It pays no faction reputation, so it is safe to run whatever your standing.

Duplicity objectives

There are five objectives and no choice split:

  • Interrupt the conversation. Location: Biba.
  • Speak with the ambassador’s guard. Location: Josdelf.
  • Confront Colonel Belaka. Location: Josdelf.
  • Defeat Colonel Belaka. Location: Josdelf.
  • Turn Colonel Belaka over to the authorities. Location: Biba.

You overhear two locals in Biba discussing the killing. One is sure a Zexil did it; the other suggests asking the ambassador’s personal guard. The guard explains that a Zexil hunting knife was found at the scene and that Colonel Belaka, who had lunch with Shaki every week, was the last to see her alive.

Belaka makes no secret of her dislike for the alliance. Your crew lays out the problem: the Vekaz had more reason to want Shaki dead than the Zexil, and a people known for subterfuge would hardly leave their own knife behind. When you accuse her of staging the murder, Belaka attacks. Her ship is listed at about 7.6 billion strength. You disable it and hand her to the Enforcers on Aniabos, who take the case under advisement and ask you to stay out of Vekaz affairs.

Where and what warp

Duplicity starts and ends in Biba, with the investigation and fight in Josdelf. Both the start and the finish need warp 1300, and the recommended level is 66.

Duplicity rewards

Reward Amount
Raw Σ-Tritanium 296,000
Dilithium 720,000,000

There is no follow-up part.

Compared with other level 66 missions without reputation

Three level 66 missions pay no faction reputation. Duplicity has the lightest workload of the three, with only one fight, and the smallest reward.

Mission Pickup Warp to complete Fights Main rewards
Duplicity Biba 1300 Colonel Belaka 296,000 Raw Σ-Tritanium, 720,000,000 Dilithium
To Free, or Not to Free Cor’Tun 1400 10 hostiles, then the master or the androids 1,200,000 Raw Σ-Tritanium or Σ-Parsteel, 2,925,000,000 Dilithium
Once a Villain Zeta Kan 1300 Colony ship, then 10 hostiles 517,000 Raw Σ-Tritanium, 1,260,000,000 Dilithium

Tips

Colonel Belaka at about 7.6 billion strength is the only fight. Everything else is conversation and travel between Biba and Josdelf.

If you want more for similar effort, To Free, or Not to Free pays roughly four times the Σ-resource and Dilithium but costs 100M Parsteel and a 10-hostile fight.

The Σ-Tritanium is explained in the Σ resources guide, and more level 66 missions are on the mission guide.
