Waves is a Federation story mission in Star Trek Fleet Command in which you help the Andorians power a dead colony on Thiros. You pick it up in P’Jem, it needs warp 20 to start and warp 23 to complete, and it has one fight, against a Corvallen Spy of about 133,000 strength. The reward is 86,000 Dilithium, 230 Federation Credits, 10,000 Federation Points and an Encryption Key, with a small loss of Klingonisch and Romulan reputation. It is a solid Federation reputation mission for its range.

Waves objectives

The story line reads: aid the Andorians in their attempts to power a dead colony on Thiros. There are four objectives and no choice split:

  • Collect renowned Vulcan physicist Suvak from Trois Ouef. Location: Bazamex.
  • Defeat the Corvallen Spy. Location: Bazamex. Enemy strength about 133,290.
  • Bring Suvak to Vojeu to acquire a new converter manifold. Location: Iocau.
  • Deliver Suvak to the dead colony site. Location: Noakyn.

The first two steps both happen in Bazamex: you collect Suvak and then deal with the spy. After that the mission is two transport legs, first to Iocau for the converter manifold and then to the colony site in Noakyn.

Wo und welcher Warp

The pickup system is P'Jem, and the mission needs warp 20 to start and warp 23 to complete. Bazamex, Iocau and Noakyn are the three systems you visit after that.

The game lists a recommended level of 1. The warp 20 start and the Corvallen Spy fight are the practical gates.

Waves rewards

Belohnung Amount
Dilithium 86,000
Federation Credits 230
Federation Points 10,000
Encryption Key 1
Klingon Points -10,440
Romulanisch Punkte -2,320

No next mission is listed as unlocked by Waves.

What the reputation swing means

Waves pays 10,000 Federation Points and costs 10,440 Klingon Points and 2,320 Romulan Points. The Klingon loss is slightly larger than the Federation gain, so the mission suits a player who is already leaning toward the Föderation rather than one trying to stay neutral.

If you care about your Klingon standing, weigh that loss before you accept. The Fraktionsruf page covers what the points count toward.

Tips

Bring a ship that can win a fight around 133,000 strength. The Corvallen Spy is the only combat in the mission, and it comes right after you collect Suvak, so you fight with him aboard.

Plan the route from P’Jem out to Bazamex, then Iocau, then Noakyn. The warp only rises from 20 to 23 across the mission, so a ship that can start it can finish it.

The 86,000 Dilithium is the main resource payout, and the Encryption Key is an item reward on top. Other missions by level are on the Missionsleitfaden.
