Away From the Hegemony is a Klingonisch faction mission in Star Trek Fleet Command in which you meet the Gorn who have set up around the Klingon borders and show them what you can do. It is picked up in Morska, needs warp 20 to start and warp 22 to finish, and has two objectives: a meeting in H’Atoria and five hostile kills. The reward is 2,895,000 Parsteel, Klingon credits and reputation, and an Encryption Key, at a small cost in Romulanisch and Federation standing.
Away From the Hegemony objectives
Es gibt zwei Ziele und keine Verzweigung:
- Meet with the Gorn Squadron Leader in the H’Atoria system. Location: H’Atoria.
- Defeat 5 Hostiles of Level 25 or higher.
H’Atoria is a level 30 Klingon system. After the meeting, the five hostiles have no system attached, so any hostile of level 25 or higher counts wherever you fight it. The mission completes with the fifth kill; there is no return trip.
Wo und welcher Warp
The pickup system is Morska, a level 29 Klingon system. You need warp 20 to start and warp 22 to finish, the extra range covering the trip to H’Atoria.
The game lists a recommended level of 1. The practical requirement is a ship that can beat level 25 hostiles five times.
Away From the Hegemony rewards
| Belohnung | Amount |
|---|---|
| Parsteel | 2,895,000 |
| Klingon Points | 10,000 |
| Klingon Credits | 230 |
| Encryption Key | 1 |
| Romulan Points | -9,280 |
| Föderation Punkte | -3,480 |
The mission data does not list a follow-up mission unlocked by this one.
How it compares with Lost Colors
Morska is also the pickup for Verlorene Farben, another Klingon mission involving the Gorn. Current game data for the two:
| Mission | Warp zum Abschließen | Was sie verlangt | Main reward |
|---|---|---|---|
| Away From the Hegemony | 22 | Meet the Gorn in H’Atoria, defeat 5 hostiles of level 25+ | 2,895,000 Parsteel |
| Verlorene Farben | 27 | Tag planets in Morska, H’Atoria and Carraya for the Gorn, destroy a Suliban scout (about 133,020) | 16 3★ Ungewöhnlich Veredelter Kristall |
Both pay the same 230 Klingon Credits, 10,000 Klingon Points and Encryption Key, and both take the same 9,280 Romulan and 3,480 Federation Points. The difference is the main reward and the work: Away From the Hegemony is the easier run and pays Parsteel, while Lost Colors needs more warp and a scripted fight for refined Kristall.
Other Gorn missions in Klingon space
The Gorn story continues in Missionen picked up further into Klingon space. Meridor und Gagh, picked up in Beta Penthe at warp 33, has you carry a Meridor shipment from the Gorn colonies to Kronos for 450 Premium Recruit Tokens and 100,000 Officer XP.
Tips
Pick easy targets for the five kills. Level 25 is the minimum, so the lowest qualifying hostiles within reach are the quickest way through.
Hold on to the Encryption Key. It is the only item reward in the mission. Other missions sorted by level are on the Missionsleitfaden.
