Past Ties is a Romulan faction mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you help a Romulan senator hide evidence of his past. You pick it up in Stelama at warp 95, and it needs warp 105 to complete. The game lists a recommended level of 1, but the information dealer you fight is roughly 6,389,135 strength. The reward is 374,000 Romulanisch Points, 600 Romulan Credits and 70 4★ Uncommon Refined Erze. It costs 590,000 Föderation Points and 130,000 Klingon Points.
Past Ties objectives

- Meet with the information dealer. Location: Alycen.
- Defeat the information dealer. Location: Alycen. Enemy strength is roughly 6,389,135.
- Intercept the Daten transfer. Location: Beta Niobe.
- Intercept the second data transfer. Location: Aschentor.
The meeting in Alycen turns into the only fight. After the information dealer is beaten, you chase two data transfers, one in Beta Niobe and one in Ash-tor. The mission completes at Ash-tor; there is no return step.
Wo und welcher Warp
The pickup system is Stelama, which needs warp 95. Completing the mission needs warp 105, ten more, to cover Alycen, Beta Niobe and Ash-tor. Stelama itself is a Romulan system, so the mission starts inside Romulan space and fans out from there to the three objective systems.
The recommended level is listed as 1. The real bar is warp 105 and a ship that can beat an enemy of about 6.4 million strength.

Past Ties has the lowest warp of the four and the smallest Romulan gain. Its 70 4★ Uncommon Refined Ore is also the smallest ore payout in the group: Beyond Borders and Forging Ties each pay 170 and Finders Keepers pays 110. It also costs more Federation reputation than it earns Romulan reputation, so check the trade before accepting.
Tips
Bring your strongest combat ship to Alycen. The information dealer is the only fight, and at about 6.4 million strength it decides the mission.
Weigh the Federation loss. At 590,000 Federation Points it is a big step back for anyone working on Federation reputation.
