Unstable Cargo is a level 51 KSG mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you transport sensitive materials and decide whether to trust a Klingon who asks for them. It starts at warp 1 after Thesis and needs warp 285 to complete. Both paths end in a fight with a Klingon spy and a 180M Tritanium payment to stabilize the materials. The reward on either path is a 5★ Common Interceptor Parts drop, and completing it unlocks Gathering Daten.

Unstable Cargo objectives

The mission opens with one shared step:

  • Find the KSG scout. Location: Sosain.

Then comes the choice: should we hand over the materials? The two paths have the same shape but fight in different systems.

Keep the materials

  • Defeat the Klingon spy. Location: Callicoat. Enemy strength around 15,221,854.
  • Use 180M Tritanium to stabilize the materials.
  • Return to KSG Space. Location: tugh’lI wov.

Rewards for this path: 1 5★ Common Interceptor Parts, 800 Klingon Credits, 1,150,000 Klingon Points, -2,111,400 Romulanisch Points.

Hand over the materials

  • Defeat the Klingon spy. Location: Eady. Enemy strength around 15,761,293.
  • Use 180M Tritanium to stabilize the materials.
  • Return to KSG Space. Location: tugh’lI wov.

Rewards for this path: 1 5★ Common Interceptor Parts, 800 Klingon Credits, 1,150,000 Klingon Points, -2,111,400 Romulan Points, -469,200 Föderation Points.

If you hand the materials over, your crew discovers the ship belongs to the Klingon Empire, and you chase the spy down in Eady instead of fighting in Callicoat.

Wo und welcher Warp

No pickup system is listed. Unstable Cargo appears at warp 1 after Thesis, and warp 285 is needed to finish it, the highest warp in the level 51 part of the KSG chain.

The recommended level is 51, and the spy fight at roughly 15.2 to 15.8 million strength is the combat check.

Unstable Cargo rewards

Belohnung Keep the materials Hand over the materials
5★ Common Interceptor Parts 1 1
Klingon Credits 800 800
Klingon Points 1,150,000 1,150,000
Romulan Points -2,111,400 -2,111,400
Federation Points keine -469,200

Completing either path unlocks Gathering Data. The Interceptor Parts are the only item reward, and they are the same on both paths, so the decision comes down to the fight location and the Federation Points.

Tips

Keeping the materials is the better choice on paper. The rewards match except for the extra Federation Points loss on the hand-over path, and the Callicoat spy is listed slightly weaker than the Eady one.

Have 180M Tritanium ready. Both paths ask for it, and the Tritanium paid out by Behind Us and Thesis together covers most of it.

If warp 285 is out of reach, the level 50 KSG side missions at warp 185 and 205 are a way to keep earning Klingon Points while you upgrade. More missions by level are on the mission guide.
