Crossing A Line is an Augment-territory mission in Star Trek Fleet Command. A Klingonisch fleet has been attacked by Augments, and you pick it up in Paradane before heading to Terazon-X31. It needs warp 21 both to start and to complete, and the game lists a recommended level of 1. A choice decides whether you help the Klingons or attack them. Helping pays 500 Klingon Recruit Tokens and 34,000 Dilithium; attacking pays 4 Khan Noonien Singh shards. Both paths also give Dark Matter and Augment Points.
Crossing A Line objectives
Every player starts with the same two objectives:
- Locate the distress beacon in Terazon-X31. Location: Terazon-X31.
- Deal with the Klingons.
At that point the mission splits in two.
Help the Klingons
- Donate 7,000 Dilithium to help repair the vessels.
- Defeat 8 Hostiles in Terazon-X31 to buy time.
Attack the Klingons
- Defeat Chosh. Location: Terazon-X31. Enemy strength is roughly 104,274.
- Defeat the Klingon Bortas. Location: Terazon-X31. Enemy strength is roughly 39,484.
- Return the prisoners to your Station.
The helping path costs Dilithium and asks for eight hostile kills in Terazon-X31. The attacking path has two named fights, with Chosh the tougher of the two, and ends with the prisoners delivered to your station.

The mission is picked up in Paradane. Warp 21 is needed both to start and to complete, so once you can reach Paradane, Terazon-X31 is in range too.
The game lists a recommended level of 1. The Chosh fight at around 104,274 strength is the real test if you choose to attack, and the eight hostile kills in Terazon-X31 set the bar if you choose to help.

Which choice to make
The helping path asks you to spend 7,000 Dilithium but pays back 34,000, a net gain of 27,000 before the other rewards. On top of that come 500 Klingon Recruit Tokens and 13 3★ Ungewöhnlich Refined Crystal.
The attacking path is the only one that pays Khan Noonien Singh shards, four of them, along with 22 15 Minute Repair Speed Ups. It costs nothing to enter, but you have to beat a 104,274-strength Chosh and a 39,484-strength Bortas.
Dark Matter and the 150 Augment Points are the same on both sides, so they should not sway the decision.
If you are collecting Khan, attack. If you want recruitment tokens and a Dilithium profit, help.
Tips
On the helping path, bring the 7,000 Dilithium with you. The donation is the first step after the split, so having it ready avoids a stall.
On the attacking path, take on Chosh with your strongest ship and repair before the Bortas. The repair speed ups from the reward will cover the damage afterwards.
The eight hostiles on the helping path must be in Terazon-X31, so stay in that system rather than hunting elsewhere. Other missions sorted by level are on the Missionsleitfaden.
