Crystal is a level 18 mission in Star Trek Fleet Command about finding and mining valuable raw Crystal. It opens at warp 1 and needs warp 8 to complete, starting with a trip to the Nelve system. Along the way you defeat five hostiles of level 16 or higher, mine 25 Rohkristall and bring it home. The reward is 35,000 Parsteel, and finishing it unlocks Trifecta, the mission to build your third drydock. It is a short mission that mostly asks for time.
Crystal objectives
There are four objectives in order and no choice split:
- Travel to the Nelve system. Location: Nelve.
- Defeat 5 Hostiles of Level 16 or higher.
- Mine 25 Raw Crystal.
- Take your newly mined Crystal to the Station.
The trip to Nelve comes first and is travel only. After that, the mission wants five kills against hostiles of level 16 or above. No system is attached to that step, so any qualifying hostiles in range count.
The mining step asks for 25 Raw Kristall. Once your cargo holds it, the last step is to return to your station with it, which closes the mission.
Wo und welcher Warp
Crystal can be accepted at warp 1, with no pickup system named. Finishing it needs warp 8, enough to reach Nelve.
The recommended level is 18. The hostile step accepts level 16 and above, so a ship that clears level 16 hostiles comfortably is enough for the combat part.
Crystal rewards
The mission pays 35,000 Parsteel. Completing it also unlocks the next mission, Trifecta.
Crystal and its neighbours
Crystal sits between two station Missionen. It follows Rise of the Independents, which asks you to upgrade Operations to level 18, and it leads into Trifecta, which asks you to construct Drydock C. Current game Daten:

Crystal is the only one of the three that sends a ship out. The other two finish on your station, so Crystal is the step in this stretch that asks for fighting and mining.
Tips
Use two ships if you can. The hostile kills suit a combat ship and the mining suits a survey ship, so splitting the jobs saves swapping crews back and forth.
Keep the Parsteel for Drydock C. Trifecta, the next mission, is about building your third drydock, and every bit of Parsteel helps with that construction.
Do not forget the delivery step. The mission only closes once the mined Crystal is back at your station, so head home as soon as you have the 25 Raw Crystal. More missions by level are on the Missionsleitfaden.
