Seeking Purpose is a five-part mission chain that begins with a request from the Q Continuum. You track down the Enterprise-E, help her crew rescue a Starfleet diplomat, find the Freedom Faction’s hideout in a dark matter nebula, and end up protecting the Freedom Faction from the Continuum itself. All five parts are recommended for level 38, start at warp 1 and finish between warp 18 and warp 47. Rewards include about 57 million Parsteel, 35,000 1★ Raw Isogen, 1,700 Latinum and 132,000 Officer XP. Part 3’s 70M Parsteel payment is the one real hurdle.

Seeking Purpose Part 1
Reach the Q Continuum and hear its request. The entry point is in Earokij, and the request sends you looking for the Enterprise-E through Andoria and Verex.
- Reach the Q Continuum entry point in Earokij.
- Destroy the portal ship in Earokij (enemy strength ~902,683).
- Enquire about the Enterprise-E’s location in Andoria.
- Find the Enterprise-E in Verex.
- Pay 2M Dilithium to access the Enterprise-E.

Seeking Purpose Part 2

Find the Freedom Faction’s hideout. Broker Ven in Exchange Central sells you a list of recent anomalies, which points to a dark matter nebula in Feqiiep. There are no fights in this part.
- Follow Captain Picard in Verex.
- Find Broker Ven in Exchange Central.
- Pay 70M Parsteel for the list of recent anomalies.
- Inspect the dark matter nebula in Feqiiep.
- Use 4K 3★ Roherz to reinforce the ship’s plating.
Warp to complete: 47. Rewards: 1,540,000 Dilithium, 35,000 1★ Raw Isogen, 3,500 3★ Raw Kristall.
Seeking Purpose Part 4
Pass the Freedom Faction’s location to the Continuum. Inside the Feqiiep nebula you fight a Faction vessel and survive a second attack before you can talk to the members.
- Search for the Freedom Faction in Feqiiep.
- Destroy the Faction’s vessel in Feqiiep (enemy strength ~937,932).
- Survive the enemy attack in Feqiiep (enemy strength ~910,378).
- Leave the nebula in Feqiiep.
- Talk to the Freedom Faction members in Feqiiep.
Warp to complete: 47. Rewards: 22,214,000 Parsteel, 132,000 Officer XP, 1,700 Latinum.
Seeking Purpose Part 5
Protect the Freedom Faction. After consulting Q, you stop the Continuum from capturing them, defend them in Feqiiep, and meet the Enterprise-E in Andoria.
- Consult with Q in Feqiiep.
- Stop the Continuum from capturing the Freedom Faction in Feqiiep.
- Defeat 10 hostiles of level 38 or higher.
- Defend the Freedom Faction in Feqiiep.
- Meet with the Enterprise-E in Andoria.
Warp to complete: 47. Rewards: 2,334,000 Tritanium, 800 Ship XP, 1,100 3★ Raw Ore.
Tips for completing Seeking Purpose
Save Parsteel from Part 1. It pays 34,907,000 Parsteel, and Part 3 asks for 70M Parsteel for Broker Ven’s list, so you need roughly another 35 million on hand when you get there. Part 3 also takes 4K 3★ Raw Ore, and Part 1 costs 2M Dilithium.
Warp 47 is enough for every part. Part 2 is the shortest trip at warp 18.
The fights are small, all between about 900,000 and 940,000 strength. Part 2 has three of them, and Part 5’s sweep of 10 level 38 hostiles is the longest single objective.
Are the Seeking Purpose rewards worth it?
It is roughly even on Parsteel, since the chain pays 57,121,000 and takes 70M back in Part 3. The real gains are 35,000 1★ Raw Isogen, 1,540,000 Dilithium, 5,601,000 Tritanium, 1,700 Latinum, 132,000 Officer XP and 3★ gas, crystal and ore.
