Scouring Space is a level 14 main storyline mission in Star Trek Fleet Command that asks you to collect 4 Energy Manifolds from missions in Deneva. It has warp 1 to start and finish and no fight of its own, because the manifolds come from other Missionen. The reward is 25,000 Parsteel, 75 2★ Gemeinsame Refined Ore and 4,000 Officer XP, and finishing it unlocks Sentinels. It is a collection task that sends you through Deneva’s side missions.

The story line says the manifolds come from missions in Deneva, and the mission itself names no system or hostile. You finish it by completing other missions that pay an Energy Manifold as part of their reward.
Where to get the Energy Manifolds
Five missions picked up in Deneva each pay 1 Energy Manifold, so you need four of the five:

All five are picked up in Deneva at warp 11. Distant Suns and Neural Network have no fight at all, so they are the easiest two to count toward the four.

Scouring Space itself needs warp 1 and has no pickup system. The real travel is in the Deneva missions, which need warp 11 to reach (Salvage Operation goes out to warp 13 to finish). The recommended level is 14.

Completing it also unlocks Wächter, the next main storyline mission, which asks you to build Defense Technologies.
Tips
Run the Deneva mission first. It comes right before this one in the storyline and takes you to the Deneva system, where every manifold mission starts.
Do the manifold missions you want for their own rewards. If you need the Nächste Generation Data shard, Razor is one of your four. If you want a shard of your chosen faction’s officer, Salvage Operation covers it. Lurker is the only single-fight option and sits at about 11,500 strength.
