Distant Suns is a mining mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you start a mining boom in Deneva to encourage the local explorers. It has a single objective: mine 700 Dilithium. The mission is picked up in Deneva and needs warp 11 to start and to finish. The game lists a recommended level of 1. The reward is 8,000 Parsteel and an Energy Manifold, which makes it an easy pickup for any survey ship already working the area.

Distant Suns objectives

Es gibt ein einziges Ziel und keine Verzweigung:

  • Mine 700 Dilithium.

No system is named for the mining, no hostile is listed, and there is no return trip. The mission ends when your ships have mined 700 Dilithium.

Wo und welcher Warp

Distant Suns is offered in Deneva, and warp 11 covers both accepting and completing it. The listed recommended level is 1; what you actually need is a ship that can mine Dilithium.

The game lists four Boslic Slave Traders in Deneva at level 15 to 18. They are not part of the mission, but keep an eye on them if your miner is sitting on a node in the same system.

Distant Suns rewards

Belohnung Amount
Parsteel 8,000
Energy Manifold 1

Distant Suns is a standalone mission and does not unlock a follow-up.

Other missions from Deneva

Deneva offers a group of warp 11 Missionen, and every one of them adds an Energy Manifold to its reward.

Mission Warp zum Abschließen Story Other rewards
Ferne Sonnen 11 Start a mining boom in Deneva 8,000 Parsteel
Schleicher 11 Stop a raider preying on mining ships in Deneva 3 1★ Survey Parts
Rasiermesser 11 Run the Arkonian’s battle simulation on Pakled swarms 1 Daten der nächsten Generation shard

Bergungsarbeiten 13 Salvage a Klingonisch D4 wreck and pick a faction for the data 1 officer shard and faction points, depending on the faction you choose

Distant Suns pays the most Parsteel of the group and is the only one that is pure mining.

The Energy Manifold matters for the main story. The Deneva mission sends you to this system, and the one after it, Scheuernder Raum, asks you to collect four Energy Manifolds from missions in Deneva. Distant Suns is one of the easiest ways to earn one.

Tips

Send a survey ship to a Dilithium node and let it work. 700 Dilithium is a small amount, and the objective is the whole mission.

If you are in Deneva with a combat ship as well, pair Distant Suns with Lurker. One ship mines while the other deals with the raider. Other missions by level are on the Missionsleitfaden.
